Veil over the face?

My mom is very traditional and wants me to have the veil over my face comming down the isle. I dont want to do this because I have my heart set on a catheral legnth train and they look kind of bulky with the finger tip veil that will go over my face. Do they have ones that detach? Ughh Im not even sure if that is what I like.

do what YOU like. this is your day, not hers. i know that sounds harsh and i know {cause i've been there} how fine that line is between involving your mother and letting her control things. it's one thing if she wants to do something you don't really care either way about but if you can say you don't want to do something, do NOT do it.

What about the bird cage veil that's only slightly over your face or half of it? They can be very stylish and maybe a way of meeting in the middle?

Anything that is going on YOU....YOU should love! You dont want to be uncomfortable or feel like your dress/veil could have been different. Goodluck with everything.

I agree with this. You need to be happy with the way you look. Try several different looks and go with the one you like and feel comfortable with.

I didn't even want a vail at first. My mom insisted. Once I put on the vail I ended up getting, I knew it was right. I would say try them on,, put them over and see wht you like. I love the back of my dress and didn't want to cover any of it up. I ending up finding a very sheer long vail that was perfect. Just try them all on! I promise I tried one like 40. Good luck!

I agree it's your choice. I am trying to decide this as well and don't know which way to go, but the half veil is a good suggestion

I also had a cathedral-length veil and a blusher, which detached. If you need a custom one, I recommend Mary at Sew Much. I had a lot of compliments on my veil that she custom made for me.

my veil covers my face and is cathedral length and i couldnt be happier with it especially because i didnt think i would ever go with something like it. it certainly made me feel more like a bride and very classy. Ultimately though, you have to make your self happy!
