Hair and Makeup- Check (Jillyan Scarpa and Jamie - Skin Bar and Paint)

Another check, actually third in 2 days. Went for my trial today with Jillyan Scarpa, makeup, and Skin Bar and Paint hairstylist Jamie. Jillyan was great, her work is flawless and did exactly what I was looking for. She also did my sisters makeup which was completely different from mine, also fabulous, which shows her wide range of talents. Jamie was fantastic as well.
She does not charge for travel and does not require minimums.

    Looks great! Congrats on your checks :)  You are moving more efficiently than I am - I haven't had a check since end of Nov!! I was looking at Jill's website last week for pricing but I think it said call for a quote. Can you share her price range with me? Feel free to PM =)

    I am going for a trial with Jillyan on Jan 22nd! Glad to hear you liked her. I hadn't looked into hairstylists yet, but I will definitely check out Jamie. Do you happen to hav her prices you can send me? Thanks!

    Haha...we do have great taste!  From what I remember we have the same venue, DJ, and now makeup artist.  Who is your florist?

    Yep - Il Villaggio, Premiere Entertainment and Jillyan! LOL
    I went with Ruth Simpson, she is located in Central NJ and an independent florist, primarily bc she is doing the crystal trees for me at a semi-decent price compared to other places Ive seen (I wasnt a fan of renting them bc my family will likely walk away with them whether we say its OK or not LOL).

    Jaime did my hair (and 4 girls) for my wedding, and I loved her.  I was happy with the trial, but the day of was sooo good!  And, she was just a great person to have around when getting ready.  she's actually my regular stylist now (I moved here recently and didn't have one before I went to her for a trial). 

    I was supposed to have Jillyan for my make-up (did a trial with her and very happy), but the Wednesday before my wedding she had an emergency and had to fly to CO, so one of the people she works with, Michelle (who I had seen the weekend before when I was getting my hair trimmed), did my make-up instead.  She was also fantastic!  In fact, my mom liked what she did with my BM and my make-up that she decided to have hers done at the last minute!  I never signed a contract with Jillyan, and I understand things happen, and I was fortunate enough that she made sure I was covered by someone who knew what they were doing and had all her notes, etc. 

    I think you'll be very happy with Jaime and Jillyan!

    @Bridetobe - do you live in Hudson Valley and getting married at Il Villaggio? - I live in Westchester so thats why I ask. My FI is from central NJ and Im from Long Island so we decided to make a location in the middle.

    I live right near the Woodbury Commons (Monroe Area).  My fiance lives in Northern Jersey.  The church that we are getting married at is located in Rockland County.  I figured Northern Jersey would be a good place  to have the reception.  I didn't look at too many places in NY (Patriot Hills and Falkirk Estate were the only ones).  I had been to my fiances HS reunion at Il'Villaggio and loved the place and food.  After looking at over 10 places I kept going back to Il'Villaggio.
