dyeable shoes and such...

Ok ladies- I need to know where online I can find dyeable shoes for my bridesmaids for the cheapest price.   Also looking for regular old ballet slippers for me! GO!

Re: dyeable shoes and such...

  • You can buy dyeables at David's Bridal and I have also seen them at Payless Stores. You might want to try googling it for stores in your area that carry dyeables.
  • I bought mine from Davids Bridal and they were definitely the cheapest (besides Payless) that I found. I thought that Davids shoes were more comfortable than Payless. I'm not sure how much Payless charges to dye, but Davids only charges $3 extra.

  • Dezinediva, I've removed your post for violation of the terms of service. Please check your private messages ASAP.
  • Eh... not a fan of the dyed shoes.  You can't really do anything with them afterward.

Could they wear a more neutral color - a black, gold, silver, white, etc. shoe?
  • Ick, PLEASE don't make them buy dyeable shoes. They're fug and a waste of money.

Plus, nobody will notice or care about their shoes. (Actually, I take that back ... the times I've noticed the BMs' shoes and saw that they were dyeables, I thought, "Ew, really?")

Pick a neutral color that'll coordinate with your BMs' dresses (black, silver, gold, white) and let them pick their own shoes.

  • Dye-able shoes at Payless.  I think they're made by Lela Rose.  Really nice designs, good for feet of all sizes.  I don't know about the dye fee, but the shoes are around $30 or so.

  • Go for the cute shoes in color if that is what you like!!!  :)

The shoe brand Nina has soooo many cute colors (no need to dye), but you can also order dye-ables on Amazon and Zappos.  If you are going to dye shoes, start early, and have the girls break them in...they tend to cause colored toes!

I just got my (navy blue) dyed shoes for my own wedding back from the shoe store last week and they turned out beautifully.  Several of my very honest friends tried to steer me away from a "dye-job" but agreed when I got them back that they looked awesome.  FYI -- you/they can always re-dye them black after the wedding...there are some things that can acutally be worn again!
