Getting crafty!!

So, I made a bunch of signage this week, which I'll post pics of later. I made a sign for guest book, our favors, and gift table. I'm also making "well wishes" note cards to use along with the guest book.

I also made the wire for a personalized hanger (I cropped out the ending of my new name...not that I'm really concerned)

I also started our table number stands. I have 4 that are totally ready. We already had the ribbon, and hobby lobby had 1/2 off the pots, which we paited with old house paint. Filled with candy corn and a stick and done!! When my mom prints out our table numbers we'll attach them to the stick and be really done!

Here's how they are so far....

  • They both came out really great!!  I love the idea of pots filled with candy corn.  I always say that I hate candy cord until I eat one and then I can't stop. lol

So this is really random, but we are having a "Fall" day at work tomorrow (ie, wearing sweaters and bringing in fall like food) and someone made a bet that we couldn't find candy corn...

How random that I would come across this post! mind sharing where you got the candy corn from? TIA :)

Also, I love the hanger! Did you have a tutorial you used? I would love to have one and I cant justify spending 25+ on a hanger...

  • CVS always has candy corn. It's in the candy aisle and usually 99 cents for a little bag.

  • Those came out super cute!  I'd try to be sneaky and eat some of the candy corn from your table numbers :)

The grocery store near us has massive amounts of candy and they always have candy corn! I haven't been able to find it anywhere else.

As for the hanger, I just kind of winged it. I looked at some tutorials, but nothing that really taught me what to do. I got the wire at the dollar store and just kind of played with it. For the tough spots, I used a needlenose pliers. Now FI is going to drill two holes into a wooden hanger and I'm going to stick the wire in and hot glue it.
