Why a SA Board?

Hey just a general question. Why is there a different Asian and South Asian board? Why isn't it all the same? I mean most of the time I don't have much to comment on here anyways because it's related to Hindu ceremonies and since I'm a Christian Indian I have no experience with this, but I was just wondering.

    I have the same question - I end up going to both places, because some brides don't know there's a difference...and lately there hasn't been too much activity on the Asian board...

    Well, depending on where in Aisa you're talking about, the traditions are VERY different from SA traditions.

    This. Even within South Asia there are so many different traditions. I think the Asian Board is geared more towards Japan, China, Korea, etc...

    Perhaps they should rename the Asian board to East Asian or Southeast Asian?  (Although that wouldn't leave any place for the Central Asian weddings.  And I'd love to see some photos of a Kyrgyztani wedding!)

    I would think there's much more overlap in the Asian and Chinese boards.

    Yea I noticed there was a seperate Asian and Chinese board... There are a lot of differences in the traditions between us South Asians even. We have Sri Lankan, Indian Muslim, Indian Hindu, Indian Christian, Pakistani Hindu, Pakistani, Muslim... you get my point....
