    I like that, a lot.

What is everyone doing on this Good Friday? It's always a time of reflection for me, and today it's rainy and gloomy, which is appropriate. I'm listening to the songs for the service tonight, and working on my wedding program. My goodness, it just seems so increasingly real.

    Blessed Good Friday to everyone.

That is awesome. I never thought about that.

    Thanks for sharing.

I pray everyone has a wonderful and blessed Easter weekend.

That is cool, I like quotes.

I find Good Friday a day of reflection as well.  Especially since I am fasting all day, which is totally hard for me.  It helps me have a clear mind though, and think about temptations that I normally give into.  I am finishing up my intivations today, which is tedious in some respects, but I am looking forward to the rest of the holiday weekend.

    Happy Easter Weekend!

    Happy Good Friday!

I am off work today, so I slept until noon (heaven!). I got up and did grocery shopping for Sunday dinner. My parents, sister, niece and brother were all supposed to come into town for my confirmation. Due to various circumstances, none are coming now. :( so it will be just my boyfriend and I at my confirmation. I decided not to be down about it, and got the food to make a lovely Easter dinner for the two of us. We're headed to church tonight.

I didn't get the day off. In our church (Eastern rite) we have mass from 9-3. Total meditation. I love it!! FI and I are going to mass tonight instead. It'll be nice to share it with him. Have a Blessed Good Friday and a Great Easter!

It's not really a mass is it? In the Latin Rite there are absolutely no masses from after Holy Thursday until Easter Vigil. Is that different?

You are right. We have a "service" which is a full day of mourning. It was a wrong wording. We actually don't do Vigil either. We have mass on Easter Sunday. Normally it's 3 hours, but somehow this year it lasted for 4.
