FI and I are cruising to the Bahamas. I am so excited I can't hardly wait!!!!!!!
Has anyone been on Carnival cruise before? I have been checking out all the different things you can buy on board and the excursions at the stops it makes at Orlando and then 2 days in the Bahamas. Soooo freaking excited!

    I have never been on Carnival, but I have been on Royal Carribean. Cruises are great. Congrats!

    Congrats!  We're doing a Carnival cruise for our HM as well.  It will be my fourth cruise, but my first via Carnival.

    I've read that Carnival's cabins only have one electrical outlet, so we're planning on bringing an extension cord and/or power strip.  I've also read that they allow you to carry on a certain amount of wine (you should be able to find the exact info in their FAQs).

    Cruise Critic is a great resource for information.  Definitely check it out if you haven't already.

    Carnival lets you bring a 750ml bottle of champagne or wine each...and it has to be in your carry on bag.  Ours was still in our checked baggage from flying and it got confiscated (They give it back your last night though)!
    Good thing I was sneaky and filled my mouthwash bottle with rum! 
    We had a great time on our cruise...food was good, people were fun, the comedy show was the funniest we've ever seen.

    I've been on Carnival cruises and there is so much to do! And they do let you bring on a bottle of champagne or wine. If you want to take on more alcohol I would recommend getting Rum Runners. They are plastic liners that hold liquids. Stuff them in your suitcase between your shoes and hangers and they will get through. Just remember to keep them hidden in your room too. Makes for a little less expensive week.
    There is a lot of shows and entertainment on board to do everyday.

    Thanks for all the great advice! FI and I actually don't drink. We heard that we should bring bottled water though in our suitcase because they charge you for it onboard? 

    Great tip about the electrical outlet!
