BIG thumbs up to our catering, venue and DOC vendors!!

Met with our venue (Greenmead historic village in Livonia), caterer (Holiday Market in Royal Oak) and DOC (Shelly Andrus of Simplicity) today.

We are 17 days away from our wedding. After this meeting I am SO comfortable about the choice I made for vendors, and their expertise. Traci from Holiday Markets and Shelly from Simplicity had sort of a "code" between them, they totally got what I was doing, and I am so comfortable handing off my wedding to them, and to Greenmead. Our total guest count is 72-74 (still waiting for 2 finals), so we can eliminate the tent outside for dancing, bring it all indoors into the Alexander Blue House at Greenmead, and PAAAARTTAAAAY!

The only issues remaining are how & when I get all my DIY "stuff" to the venue. Other than that, I'm relieved and just excited to see this wedding I've been actively planning for 18 months (and planning in my head for over 30 years) come to fruition and be the best day of our lives, and our family's, and something memorable for our friends.

I seriously recommend all these vendors unabashedly.

    So happy for you that things are going so smoothly and you feel at ease with your vendors! That is probably a HUGE weight lifted off your shoulders!

    That is great news!! Having awesome vendors like that will allow you time to breathe and work on your DIY projects :) congrats :)

    Yay Sue!  I am sooo looking forward to your wedding as we joined at about the same time :)

    And I agree with you on vendors.  If you have vendors you can trust, everything is smooooooth sailing!

    I can't believe you're so close, Sue!!!! YAYYYYY!!!! I think I'm at about 484 days out :/  but I'm sure it will fly by!! Enjoy these last few days, missy!

    How DID you manage to get all your DIY stuff to Greenmead? I'm getting married there too on St. Patricks Day and also have a TON of DIY stuff. They won't let you decorate during rehersal even if nothing else is going on between rehersal and the wedding and the timing seems really tight. Wedding is at noon. So we have church from 10:30 - 1:30 and the Blue house from 12:30-4:30.

    Also, FYI I'm an older bride too and we met on eHarmony too. We have 6 kids between us 16-23 and they all like each other and us :) Who could as for more?
