Bouquet toss song...

in African American Weddings
So...originally I was gonna use "Milkshake" by Kelis. However, I am liking "Petty Girl Rock" by Keri Hilson.

Please help me decide which to use! Also, any song suggestions for the Groom/MOG dance? Not "Mama" by Boyz to Men cause he will really be dancing with his grandmother.

    I like pretty girl rock and single ladies... maybe my DJ can do a mix or do whatever that scratching thing is that DJs do... that might be hot...
    At my cousin's wedding they did a grandfather/bride and groom/mother dance at the same time and they danced to Hero by Mariah Carey... maybe you could use something like that...

    My vote is Pretty Girl Rock since Single Ladies is the norm.  I'm going with Freakum Dress by Beyonce since it's a black-tie wedding and women will be dressed to the nines!

    Thanks for the input ladies. I love Single Ladies, but every single wedding that I've been to since that song came out (with ONE exception) has used it for the bouquet toss...lots of repeat guests so I know if I'm tired of it, they are too. I just want something different. It is very fitting though so if you love it and it hasn't run its course in your circle, go for it!

    I am so glad that I posted this here because now, I think I will try to get a mix of Pretty Girl Rock and Milkshake...lol. Go figure! FI hates that I'm considering Milkshake...lol.

    Thanks for the suggestion of Hero...I will have him take a listen. I suggested If This World Were Mine to him, but I'm not sure he's sold on it. I want to help him out some...or maybe I really want him to just hurry up and pick something!

    Now yawl got me wanting to change my song. I LOVE the Freakum Dress one (plus that's a hot song). But I like the idea of mixing something. Dang now I am allll messed up lol!

    I love both of those songs, but if I had to choose, I'd go with Kelis.
    I was going to use Single Ladies (Put a Ring on it) for my bouquet toss song, but after seeing that everyone else is using the same thing, I might need to come up with something new.
