Anyone care to respond?

There is a post in wedding woes titled Israel really, really pisses me off. Comments about an article from the Gaza Strip and how the UN is asking for a mandatory Holocaust education program. Some people have commented on the OP saying that what Israel is doing is similar to what has been done to them. I don't feel that I'm equipped with enough knowledge to write anything in response, but maybe someone here can?

    Unfortunately my response was probably just inflammatory. I have no patience for that kind of ignorance and she hardly seems worth trying to educate.

    I am not a regular lurker/poster on WWs, but I just went and read the thread you guys are talking about.  I think it'd be a waste of time to jump in more than you already have.  As soon as I got to the post about Jon Stewart not taking up "the cause" because he's Jewish, I was ready to be done.

    I'm a regular lurker lol. I don't post specifically to any board, but I saw that and I wrote the post here for someone to respond, but I just couldn't not say anything.

    I just have to say, this comment, in response to the question "Are all Jews pro-Israel?": "Well, I'm not going to generalize and say they all are.   But I would guess that 99.9999% are." 

    Um, really?  Has this person never met a person who is Jewish before?  "They all are?"   I may need to get in on this.
