BACHELORETTE PARTY IDEA: Ladies, would this new business appeal to you?

Let's face it - guys thrusting on stage in a thong is nothing like girls stripping on stage. A group of bachelors will likely have a really fun, tempting, arousing night at a traditional strip club, whereas a group of bachelorettes at a male strip club -- it's more embarassing and silly than anything else.

So what would a much closer equivalent be?

My Idea: A club fully stocked with hand picked young, attractive males hired specifically to schmooze, dance and drink with every lady who comes through the door. A club atmosphere minus the creepy factor. A place the average female can get dressed up and go to and feel those same bachelor party feelings of fun, temptation and arousal - which for women come through proximity, conversation, attention, etc. as opposed to pure nudity.

Thoughts?

They aleady have those. They are called paid escorts or gigolos. No thanks.

  • It wouldn't appeal *me* but I'm pretty sure it could be very popular.

  • Why would I need this if I was already engaged to someone who already meets those needs?
  • Meh...I wouldn't pay for it. I don't like feeling like I have to pay for guys attention lol. I would much rather just have drinks with the girls and go dancing with them

  • You didn't come up with this idea. They already have clubs like this in Asia.

  • IMO, I'd be so weirded out if I walked into a club and was immediately accosted by men paid to be nice to me and dance with me. Plus, I'm pretty sure FI wouldn't be thrilled if he found out. I'll stick to go to clubs for a girls' night out and just having a good time without the added pressure of dancing and drinking with random dudes. Not to mention, why would I want to be grinded on by a random dude when I'm ENGAGED??
  • I would so rather hot guys take their clothes off than oddly chat me up.  The chatting is the weird part.  Are you supposed to make a connection?  Because you're getting married!  I mean, male strippers are at least hilarious.
  • I'm thinking more like a male version of Hooters, you know?

Maybe even have food and have it served by really attractive, hand picked guys who have the know-how to be conversational and fun but of course not pushy or anything like that. I seriously doubt men have ever gone to Hooters and felt "acosted" haha

So hot guys walking around serving food, serving drinks, maybe some male runway fashion or dance performances (sans fake bake nudity) and guys around who can dance and schmooze with those women who want to, but of course, steering clear of those who don't.

I think with some training and clear keen marketing it could work.

My thought is: If traditional strip clubs exist plentifully, why don't male strip clubs exist equally plentifully? Probably because they just don't do it for women. So what would? There's got to be something...
  • Give it up, sister.  You got equally unfavorable results in both places you posted.  Come up with another grand idea.

Sorry, what exactly are you getting at here? Do you want to start a business or something? Because you're barking up the wrong tree if you're looking for investors.

    Just brainstorming, haha, but thanks.

Not trying to get investors or 'getting at' anything, just came up with an idea with some lady friends after watching Magic Mike and trying to decide if it's something viable, workable, or worth putting any further time, thought, energy into...

I figure if there's anyone who can yay or nay an idea marketed towards women and/or bachelorettes it would be Knot-ers :)
  • Nope. Give it up.

If someone chats me up when I'm dancing, that's nice, and it's nice because I know it's out of genuine interest rather than being paid to do it. I would also turn down whoever chatted me up because... ummm... I'M ENGAGED? Strippers are hilarious. They're on a stage, separated from you, not grinding on you or in your face.

And what does hand-picked mean? Hand-picked by who? Because everyone has different tastes. If they're hand-picked by you or the manager it means nothing to me, who will probably have completely different tastes in men than you.

You know Hooters got sued for that "hand picking," right?  They've got to hire less "attractive" women these days.  You wanna be a defendant in that lawsuit?

    This made me giggle.
  • They've talked about putting Magic Mike on Broadway, and that's the best idea anyone has had in a long time. Your idea is weird and reminds me of the Fairy club in True Blood?
