Good French Quarter bars for wedding guests to meet up at after the reception

Does anyone have recommendations on good bars for our wedding guests to meet up at after our rehearsal dinner on a Friday and our wedding on a Saturday? We are only interested in French Quarter bars.

We really want to keep the entertainment going for all of our OOT guests!

Of course, Pat O's is at the top of my list. Has anyone ever brought a large group there? Especially in the dueling piano room?

Thanks!

Pat O's is really difficult to work with unless you are looking to spend 2k + on food+ drinks, etc.... We worked with Finnegans ( across the street from Pat O's ) and we were able to take over the whole bar with drink specials, etc. They even let usbring in our own ipod for music. I highly reccomend.

You need to get there early to get a large group in to the piano bar.  It usually has a long line.  If you are just looking for a fun time I always recommend Cat's Meow.  It's a karaoke bar, but so much fun.  They mix the karaoke with dance music so it's not just singing.  They have an upstairs with a balcony that you can go to as well.  Tropical Isle is a lot of fun too.  They are just a block away and usually have some kind of live music.  What kind of atmosphere are you looking for?  You can find just about anything there.  I'm sure there are more suggestions based on that.  Good luck!

We're doing Carousel Bar in the Hotel Monteleone.  That's where the majority of our guests & wedding party are staying so it's convenient and casual.

our wedding was the weekend of French Quarter Fest 2009 and we all went to Pat O'briens after the wedding...around midnight and while we didnt all get into the piano bar right away, we were alll in there within about 30 minutes...and there were at least 30 of us there! Was a great time!
