Dont want to use flowers

I am not to huge on flowers and I will still have them at the cermony, but dont really want them at reception. Any other decorations I could use? Wedding will be in the winter. Thanks!

I don't have a picture of my friends centerpiece but she purchased little plastic doves from the dollar store that she sprayed silver and had two at each table paired with a tall cylinder hurricane vase that had white beads (vase filler type for candles) and a candle nestled inside.  It was really pretty and she said the total for each centerpiece was less than $15 each.

My fiance asked me if we had to have flowers at our reception. I told him what I'm telling you now: "No, we don't have to have flowers as centerpieces. We can have anything pretty/interesting to put in the middle of the tables to make it clear it's a social occasion/party, not a business luncheon."

We're thinking about battery-operated fountains, fish bowls [don't hate], and some other things that involve just a flower or 2. For our November wedding, pumpkins would be OK, if we wanted to play up the fall season, which we don't. For a winter wedding, you could have bowls of glass ball Christmas tree ornaments. We're also looking at the Japanese dollar stores (Daiso) for interesting cups and bowls we can arrange into centerpieces.

What are your colors?  Are you going with a theme other than winter?
We are doing a fall themed wedding and not using flowers on the tables at all except for the head table where the BM's will drop their bouquets into vases.

Here are a few I found...
    Hope this helps!
