Slow road to weight loss...but its staying off

Ever get frustrated with the slow weight loss?  I have abotu 14 lbs gone, 15 was my "realistic goal" and 20 was my "ideal goal" so to speak.  I have been doing this since Sept 2011, so 8.5 months...the weight is staying off but every now and then it'd be nice to see larger drop on the scales instead of 0.3 here and 0.5 there, then a 1 lb gain, and lose 0.8 more.

Just venting...its all good, rather be 14 lbs lighter than heavier and they say slower loss is better than fast....but come on results!!!!

I feel your pain. I have told myself the same things, rather not have it then have to still deal with it. However, a .3 here and a .4 there does add up to something in the end.
  • It does...and inches are more important than pounds, or so people keep telling me! lol  Hard to get past the numbers sometimes

  • Just different numbers.  I have a weight goal, but it's secondary to my strength, endurance, and clothes size.

  • Try changing it up. When I make a change in my diet and my work outs I start to notice a big difference right away.

I'm happy for you that the weight is staying off! Sustainable weight loss should be the goal, not crazy fast fixes. If you feel like you're in a rut, double check yourself: are you accidentially snacking at certain times each day without realizing it? Is it time to do some workout changes (add strength training or aerobics)?

    Congrats again!
