Invitations

How much can I expect to pay for invitations if i'd like:
-250 invitations
-250 thank you cards
-250 table cards

I've heard of the following websites:
-indianweddingcard.com
-indianweddingcards.com
-parekhcards.com
-allweddingcards.com

Do you have anymore suggestions?  I need to keep my costs down!

We (as did FI's cousin) ordered from www.regalcards.com/" target="_blank">http://www.regalcards.com/. Cost depends on style.

    Price depends on printing method.

The cost will really depend on which invitation suite you choose, the weight of paper, etc. I'd suggest that you take a look at the different websites listed, order some samples and see what you like best.

Just a reminder to also budget in for postage. The larger the invite or of they are square, will require higher postage.

Ditto this! Also, remember to budget for weight of the cards as well, if you do plan to put tumeric colored rice as a sign of prosperity, and stamps for the guests to use to return the RSVP... these things can add up rather fast!

We ordered samples from a couple of the sites you listed and the prices were good.  Until we went to the post office with our favorite one.  Yikes!  It was over a $1.50 to mail each of them (not including RSVPs)!

In the end, we ended up bring the samples to a stationary company that is based here and they are custom-designing our invitations for us.  We're getting invitations, RSVP cards and the envelopes for $650 for 150 invitations  They will only need 1-2 stamps plus a postcard stamp for the RSVP card.  And they're beautiful!!  They also have really, really cool off the shelf ones now too.  http://www.gartnerstudios.com/mara-mi

The only catch is that we have to go in and cut the envelopes.  They are designed so that the whole envelop unfolds to reveal the invitation and there is a matching pattern on the envelope that is repeated on the invitation. So we have to cut and fold those pieces, which doesn't sound too bad.

    Good luck!

We got our invitations from Surat when we were there a couple of weeks ago. The place we got them from is called Lucky Cards: http://www.luckyweddingcards.com/home.htm. We paid $1.66 for each card which included the outer envelope, inner envelope, reception card, mehendi card, RSVP card, RSVP envelope, Thank you envelope and extra card stock for us to write personalized thank you notes.  The cards also have nice ribbon and stick on diamonds on them (usually an extra cost). We bought 200 invitations and it ended up costing approx. $1.66 each.  The website isn't very nice, but if you are willing to converse via e-mail, I'm sure you will have a good experience!  They were willing to work within our budget and could make any design in any color.  I would suggest requesting a few samples that fit in your budget and then going from there.  You can tell them that the Sarangi's recommended you to them. :)
