Valentine's Day Plans

Well apparently it didn't occur to me when I decided to get married on the number one restaurant day of the year, that perhaps down the line it would be difficult to get dinner or hotel reservations.

What are people doing for Valentine's Day?

I'm on a scramble to find something.

We have an appt at our venue to finalize everything. I am thinking we will do fondue that night and relax since we both have the next day off. We decided no presents either, we are putting it towards things to do during our honeymoon..

Its a big week for us so we won't celebrate on V-day we'll probably go out one night during the week to avoid the crazyness.

v-day is the 14th, our dating anniversary is the 18th and we got engaged on the 21st. So we are only celebrating once and we are not doing gifts because of the wedding.

On v-day last year we had the best time we had pizza delivered and rented movies and i melted chocolate and we dipped marshmellows and pretzles and whatnot in it.

you should def do a day trip somewhere since its ur anniversary too!

Yeah I like it! I haven't snow tubed there, so I can't speak to that, but it's a nice mountain.

Now I am looking into possible ski trips... an idea is born...

Well we're going to a Chinese New Year party on the 13th.  But other than that, we don't have any plans for Valentine's Day.

we are going to AC for the night....there are so many restaurants in the city, see if you can get reservations somewhere.

We don't usually celebrate but my parents and my aunt got us a GC to The Hunt Club at the Grand Summit Hotel where we got married for our 1 year anniversary, so we're using it on Sunday for their prix fixe wine dinner.

I asked my husband about it earlier because we hadn't planned anything.  He proposed that we go to this very divey, non-romantic restaurant that we love.  Which is fine, except that I mentioned that the wait is normally like 2 hours, so maybe it wouldn't be ideal because they don't take reservations.  To which he proposed that we go at 2 in the afternoon. Umm...

So I'm guessing we're doing nothing.

Pre-cana. Well, actually that's on Saturday but we have never celebrated Valentine's day on the actual day because he works every holiday and that's Presidents Day weekend. Anyway, we'll probably go out to dinner at our fav. restaurant after - Stoney River... an amazing steak place!

I got sick last year and had to cancel our reservations, but this year, so far, all is good.  We're going to see V-day, then we have dinner reservations and whatever else comes up.  I combed open table the other night and found some options.  Maybe you could do that?

I think we are going to hang out at warwick winery on saturday and listen to some music.  Not very romantic but we like to do it.  Sunday we are brewing beer and making fondue for dinner.

We are registering at Crate and Barrel (Bridgewater) in the morning.  We plan on doing lunch at a Thai restaurant in Somerville then FI is making dinner at night.  No presents, keeping it low key.

We were gonna go to the Manor on Sat for their Lobster Buffet BUT his car just died and we need to buy a new one by Monday, so Lobster dinners are NOT in the budget anymore.

We decided to go to a little Italian Place, Bella Sera, where we just moved.  Everyone always talks bout it and its like 5 min from home and more affordable than The Manor.
