Eastside Venues??

I've been having one heck of a time finding venus on the eastside that aren't further north than Snohomish and no further south than New Castle.I'd like to keep it until 3000 dollars total, but most places I've found have an outrageous 8000 dollar food and beverage minimum that go along with the facility. Any suggestions? My wedding is in July 2012 and with approx 150 guests. I'm trying to incorperate my dog into the wedding and so I want the ceremony outside. Thanks!

My venue - Clise Mansion - is under that in terms of rental, and you'd work with an outside caterer. I think you're going to have a VERY hard time finding a venue to rent AND food for 150 for that cost, though, if you go with a caterer. Not to mention that most venues probably aren't booking this far out for summer 2012 (mine won't rent out for spring-summer until about six-eight months beforehand).

You should look into public parks when you get closer to the date.

My venue is outside so you'd have to rent a canopy, but you get to choose from a list of caterers AND they have an actual kennel for dogs in case if a couple wants their pup there. http://www.twinwillowgardens.com/ It's in Snohomish and Jessi is a sweetheart to work with!

I was thinking Robinswood House in Bellevue (a sister property of Clise Mansion), because the rental is pretty inexpensive. However, I went back and read the original post again - are you trying to have venue AND catering be less than $3000 for 150 people? Or are you trying to keep venue rental less than $3k, and then hoping to find catering on the less expensive side (so that it doesn't total something like $8k, the other places' minimums)?

If you're trying to keep food & venue under $3k and want to hire a caterer, I don't know if you can do it on the Eastside. Clise & Robinswood are cheap, but you have to pick from their preferred list of caterers, and I am certain that none of them can do food for that many people that cheap. Plus, you have to rent their own chairs from them, which would add more $.

I'm not trying to be a downer, but my advice would be to either expand your location criteria (you can rent Seattle parks for much cheaper), do it at your/a friend's home (this is still really pricey with rentals), find a way to increase your budget, and consider DIYing your food.

Like PP I am not sure if you mean you want to keep both venue and catering at $3,000 but even so a Sat Morning in July at Tibbetts Creek Manor in Issaquah will be going for $1,900 in 2011. (Sat night, Fri, & Sun are more expensive) They aren't booking for 2012 yet so that rate might go up, but they allow any outside caterer so if you can somehow find someone to do the food for around $1,000 it might just work. You would need to split up people for the reception though because neither their tented deck or the inside room can accommodate 150 people.

irshis - I'm going with Clise too, I just love the venue! Summer rentals are a pain though, they actually don't get the summer concert schedule until mid April (ideally). But the reality is that I am still waiting for the schedule to be posted and get the call so I can pick my date and I'm getting married this July. (we hope, keeping fingers crossed that our 1st choice will not have a concert scheduled because neither of us is keen on pushing it back in to August)

Hmmm if you're wanting to spend only $3k on both venue and food that would be difficult esp on the eastside. I've scouted places mainly in eastside and most of the places like you said has a minimum of $8k or more. I think the best place you can think of is a public park like Kubota Gardens. It's really pretty there and I know the rental fee isn't alot.

One place I came across while searching for venues is the Redmond Ridge Community Center. I don't think you have to be a resident to rent it:
