Venues in West Palm Beach/Fort Lauderdale?

Hey guys!
My fiancé and I are currently looking for venues from West Palm Beach to Fort Lauderdale (or families live in both areas, so either would be convenient for everyone) and we're having such a hard time!

Any suggestions/recommendations on venues that do ceremonies and receptions for a reasonable price?  We'll probably have around 70 guests, and I'm looking for something with both indoor and outdoor space choices (I've also recently realized that I would prefer some sort of ocean/water view).  Our budget for the entire wedding (not including the honeymoon) is around 7k.

  • Royal Fiesta in Deerfield Beach is right in between Ft. Lauderdale and Palm Beach.  It is really nice, reasonably priced and near the water (right on the intercoastal).  It is a banquet hall and the one downfall is that it is in part of a strip mall; however, it is nice inside with beautiful chandeliers.  The people are great to work with and they try to make everything easy for you (they will help coordinate if needed).  I don't believe they conduct outside ceremonies, but you can ask.  I think it's worth a looksie :-)
    Good luck!

  • It is not a venue for everyone but when I was planning a SoFla wedding I was booked at the Palm Beach Zoo. It's such a fun, different venue and it was very affordable.

I was getting ceremony set up/chairs, cocktail hour, and buffet dinner for 60 people for $5k. I didn't include alcohol in that price because you can bring it in yourself which was our plan.

I believe our $5k also included an animal encounter with 5 animals during the cocktail hour that would "mingle" with our guests.

  • I've heard the PB Zoo is great for weddings (depending upon the time of year...).  They have charity events there all the time.

Another place that I hear is wonderful is the waterfront in downtown WPB-- I had a friend attend a wedding in one of those greenhouse-like glass houses that they built along Flagler Drive where Clematis and Datura meet.  The name escapes me, but they said it was lovely and intimate with a gorgeous view of the intracoastal.
