HELP!!! Alterations

Hello Ladies.
I am in need of some serious help. I moved from Florida less than a year ago to be with my fiance' so it had made it hard to "knnow" where to go for certain things. One of the most important things I am a little panic about doing is finding an alterations place. I am not going to take my dress just anywhere so I am reaching out to all of you.
I need help!

Anyone have any refferals or ideas?

Thank You in advance!
Christina

I went to Fashion Dream in Arlington, a small independantly owned shop. She did a great job and is very reasonably priced. She did my alterations for $300 and it would've been $450 at the bridal shop. I had 3 or 4 different fittings because she wanted to make sure it was perfect, and it defintely was! They will also hold your dress there after alterations are completed so you don't have to stuff it in your closet at home.  Contact information is below.

I would strongly suggest contacting Estee Livioco or Angie Cavallero, whichever is closer to you.  Estee is in Gaithersburg, and Angie is in NOVA.  Either one does amazing alterations at reasonable prices.  We used Estee for both of our dresses, then recommended her to my now DIL who also loved her work.  Here is a link with contact information for both of them.  Do try to contact one of them early, as they sometimes get completely booked.

Angie Cavallero did my dress, and did a GREAT job!  I ordered a replica from China and the bodice needed to be seriously taken in, and Angie did it wonderfully!  I also asked her to do a few additional things beyond my initial order (add more buttons to the back over the zipper, stuff like that) and she didn't change the amount I owed her at all. Most places would have tacked on the charges!

Another knottie recommended Kimly's in Woodbridge, VA to me and I have to say she's worked miracles. Instead of losing weight like I'd hoped to, I think I gained weight.  But she took material from the bottom of the dress and sewed it into the sides and still kept  the design on the bodice.

I went to Curvy Girls Bridal in Fairfax, VA.... They were pricey, $350 for bodice and bustle. But, it was pretty quick and the bustle was great.
