Officiants

Can anyone reccomend a good neutral officiant?  My fiancee and I are looking for something simple and not overly religous as far as the ceremoney goes.  We are having the ceremony at the Gem Theatre.

Thanks!
Chrissy

I read this post because I too am in the need of an officiant, the same requirements as you. I looked at the Goodrum site.. wow! Are all officiants that expensive?? I actually looked on Craigslist and found a few in the area that were around $200, but I left it at that and didnt do anything with it yet.

We are using Nichole Bertucci from A Simple I Do.  Her simple ceremony is $250, $300 after travel  http://www.nicholebertucci.com/

I priced 3 others in the area

    La Donna $400
Teacup wedding $300 (wasn't available our day)
Sally Street $299 (wasn't available our day)

    Hope this helps!!

</div><div>I would be wary of CL posts... I buy/sell stuff on CL all the time but hiring someone kinda gives me the heebie jeebies. </div><div>

Randy Baber is only $100. He seemed real nice and I enjoyed his ceremony (reading through it, at least). PM me if you would like to know why I did not go with him.</div>

I personally am looking into having a friend become an officiant. I think Wayne county has some weiiiiiird laws though so I'm probably going to have to suck it up and call the city office.

I have found this site.  http://www.localofficiants.com/mi_michigan/wedding_officiants/

Not sure how helpful it is but maybe worth a try.

    Thanks for the suggestions.
  • My DJ was also my Officiant!! Got a great deal!! His name is Mike Smith and he is at mike@bigfootdjs.com.  But I am sure if you have a DJ, you can just have him as an officiant.  He is very laid back, great pricing, good sense of humor, very easy to talk to and very helpful. Everyone including us, just loved him!! I would recommend him to everyone!! He is out of Port Huron, but he will travel.  He drove all the way to Holly for our rehearsal dinner and ceremony!!
