New Jersey - South

South Jersey Wedding Locations

We are looking to get married May 2012 and trying to find the right location for us.  We have looked at Valleybrook, Scotland Run and Riverwinds Restaurant in West Deptford.  So far the winner is Valleybrook (Scotland Run had way to much going on at the same time and Riverwinds your view is the Delaware River and the Philly airport landing strip across the water)but my fiance wants to look at more places before we decide.  Any suggestions?  We know we want somewhere that everything is in one place and want an outdoor ceremony.

My friend is getting married at Bogeys in a month so I dont know if I want to go with the same place- its nothing against her at all but I just want to do something different.
The place in Riverton looks nice but we have 100-130 people and it looks like it might be too tight.

I can understand not wanting to use them after your friend is having her wedding there...

we're getting married at the smithville inn. http://smithvilleinn.com/
it's right next to a lake and it has a really nice, cozy feel. we're having the ceremony outside (or inside with a view of the lake if it rains) and we're having the reception there. they even include the cake in their reception price.

Auletto's in Deptford has an outdoor ceremony site, the cocktail hour in the wine cellar and a reception room upstairs. Very pretty.

I thought about Auletto's but most of my school dances were there in high school so I don't know if I want to have my wedding there.  I am thinking about going to check out Renault Winery in Egg Harbor they look really pretty

Completely understand not wanting your wedding where you had high school functions. You might want to check out Brigalia's too.  They recently re-modeled inside and added things outside.

I booked Renault Winery! I love it and the price is super nice. I really recommend it! It's more like a destination than a banquet hall. Plus the Tuscany House is right there and you out of town guests can stay there. PM me if you have any other questions about Renault.

What I wasnt a fan of at Renault is that it just includes the wine and you need to pay extra to have the beer and liquor.

At Renault, If you have it on the winery side, you can only have beer and wine because they don't have a hard liquor license. The wine is included, but yes, you have to buy your cases of beer. At first I thought that it was silly to not have hard liquor but then when I saw that they make "wine cocktails" I was very happy. They can make just about any drink with the use of their wine. I've tasted some of them and they are very good!

Plus the price per plate is only about $74 (depending on the entree) and that's pretty sweet!

<div>Hey, what did you think of the Bank on Main?  Looks pretty nice to me!  Do you know if they can fit a dance floor with the 100 people comfortably?  (I'll likely be just under 100 total.)</div>

I think we have decided to do it at Valleybrook :)

  • edited December 2011
I am getting married next fall at The Carriage House in Galloway.  It looks really new and is well kept.  The Seaview also looks really pretty nearby and is close to the water.  I think we will be staying there the night before and the night of our wedding.  Good Luck!

People has anyone looked at the Flander's hotel in Ocean City, NJ?http://www.flanderscatering.com/

They do ceromonies on the beach and they win awards every year.  Best of all you get to discuss the liquor you want and contract it threw an outside vendor.  You order 4 bottles of JD and drink one you get refunds for the other 3.  People always forget about this beautiful hotel and banquet center.   If I ever get married again that is where I am doing it.
