DJ issue!

So we booked our DJ back in Feb of the year for our April 2011 wedding. He seemed great. We put our depoist down. And we have been email off and on.. Well this last Email was on March 5th. He was suppost to get a list of songs for my fl..

I have emailed him twice and called the phone number on his Business card a few times but no returns.. I just noticed on the contract there is no contact info for him. on his bussiness card it's just an email and phone number.


I am now freaking out. We are not out our deposit from this DJ and don't have a big budget for another DJ.. We were spending $300.00 for this DJ but now if we need a new one it will only be $200.00 as we are out that $100 from this DJ..

I am a mess right now and don't know what to tell Fl he is gonna be pissed.. he was worried something like this would happen..

I truly hope this dj contacts me back soon.. If not then i guess we have to try to find someone for $200.00 or just use an IPOD and our Laptops.

    his card also says Anothy Copolla (his wife's last name is what he told us) with Eminence Entertainment..

    I Really hope he calls us back or Emails me back..

    He still has yet to call or email me back. the number listed on his card is a fake number belongs to someone else!

    Good luck with your DJ!  If you decide to change or need a new one, look at K&K DJ services, we are using them for our wedding and I love them!  They've done a lot of events up here in Fort Collins, and they're always easy to get ahold of.

    Looks like we are now looking for a new DJ as he is not returing calls (not sure if it's even his number) and not returning Emails..

    So sad people take advantage of others this way.. we are on a very tight budget and now we are out our deposit for this dj...

    Fl is now refussing to put any more deposits out.. So i have no idea what to do now.

    if you paid your deposit with a credit or debit card you can call the bank and tell them what happened and they will refund your money to your card. Tell them that you need to dispute a charge. 

    Also check the preferred venders list from your venue for a dj recommendation, they can recommend venders that they have worked with for many years so that you are not afraid to give deposits to them.. and always pay a deposit with a credit/debit card to protect yourself.

    Latty, We used a check! I don't think there is anything our bank can do about it since it was back in Feb..


    For now on I will only use C.C for deposits.. Learned my lession!
