Day of Coordinator?

Any other brides considering hiring a DoC?  I can't decide if it is worth the cost.  Anyone know any budget friendly people in Southern NJ?

Thanks!

I had a DoC (my friend who is studying to be a wedding planner right now) and trust me - having one was something I'd recommend to EVERYONE. There were SO many things that needed to be tended to the day of my wedding - problems with our hotel, stuff getting left behind, stuff needing to be set at the hall, music that needed to be taken care of, etc etc etc. Unless your wedding is very simple or you feel you need to be on top of everything yourself to make sure it's done right, a DoC will make the day SO MUCH BETTER for you as a bride. I found out about a bunch of the problems after they had already been taken care of and things were good and if I'd had to deal with them during the day, I'd have been a total mess.

I had a very budget-friendly DOC who was recommended by another Knottie and turned out to be AMAZING!  Her name is Susan Hart and her phone # is (609)947-9025.  LIke Rangergirl said, it's really a great idea to have one!

I have one and honestly, she's turning out to be the best thing we've invested in for this wedding. There are so many details that we want executed and she's all over it, plus she's gave us a lot of ideas and reminded us of things that we never thought about. She's definitely keeping us in line! We're using http://www.premierbyk.com/.

We are using Rachel Kreindel at d.fine event design (d.fineeventdesign@gmail.com). She is amazing and affordable. She has a vision that is helping me tie all the loose ends together.
Her office is in Morristown but I am getting married in Sea Bright, NJ and live in Toms River. The last bride she did was from Wildwood and she just met with a girl in the Mt. Holly area.
She is still working on developing a full professional portfolio. I know she gave people a killer price break in exchange for them writing a testimonial and providing some pictures to develop her portfolio further.
