I'm bored...talk to me

I had today off and I have done absolutely nothing. Well not entirely true, I did bake the loaf of banana bread that I promised FI but the prep time on that is like 15 mins, the rest is all just baking. The only WR thing I've done today is tell my mom that its okay with me if my aunts book the cottage at the B&B where we're having the reception. She only asked because I had at one point mentioned some of the WP going together on it. They haven't moved on it and my aunts wanted it so..tada.

Lets play a little game. You answer a question from the previous poster and ask a new question. make sure you quote the question in case someone sneaks in while you're typing. I figure this won't take too much away from Cathy's QOTD (which I love btw) but might give her some more ideas. As I'm the OP I'll ask the first question and pop in again later to answer one.

hmmmm. Anyone and everyone. YOU cfm! Because you are close and it would actually be possible, lol. We almost had a chance at that bridal show back in whatever month it was, lol. Can you tell by my typing how very scatterbrained I am? These last couple days have been nuts for me!

What is your job? Do you love it, hate it? Is it what you think you'll do forever? If not, what's next? Couldn't make it too easy, lol.

I am overnight program staff at Boys Town. Parts of my job I really like but others not as much. I won't be doing this forever but I hope to stay at the same company forever. Hopefully after i get my masters that I will move to behavor health.

Are there any vendors that the closer you get to your wedding to you regret hiring? If so what did they do that made you feel that way? Did you jump the gun/find someone better or is it thier behavior now that its almost D-day.
(on a side note I would love to meet anyone bc i have no help with wedding planning and would love to just interact and stuff with someone who is in my boat-i dont have attendants or any friends that seem to want to join in my fun lol)

We had been planning a trip out of state and I had been thinking a few weeks before that it would be great if FI proposed. I never told anyone that. Then FI proposed on the trip! We had been talking about it a few months and I'd seen a ring I like online. I'd also looked at it in the store with a friend. FI ended up getting that ring, so I essentially picked it, and I love it! FI would rather get me something he knows I love than pick out something I might hate... My phone doesn't do paragraphs... Next question, if you had an unlimited budget what is one thing that you would want at your wedding? Or what would you splurge on?

This one is kind of tough because I think anything that you think is original has unfortunately been done before in the wedding industry! haha I have a ton of DIY items, like the ringbearer pillow that I love.....and while this is becoming more popular, it should be the first wedding in our families/friends group to have a wine ceremony. When I read about it, it really resonnated for me. Being from a household of 3 total divorces (4 because my mom has now left her BF of 10 years, but I didn't like him anyway!), I really feel that marriage is taken too lightly now. Each of those relationships lasted about 10 years for my mom, so that anniversary has extra meaning. FI and I are commited to working through any problems and we are in for the long haul, no matter how difficult it is.

What is your favorite vendor so far?

i would love to have a videographer but i cant convince fi that it is a good idea at $2000+ i also wouldnt want to spend the $$$ either its cheaper to get someone with a camcorder or buy a camcorder and just record the ceremony! i love wedding vidoes though!

I like this game!

I live in NYC and love it but cannot see myself raising kids here, especially in our 500 sq. foot downtown apartment! Fiance sees himself living in the city until he dies and this makes me nervous!

These are the same for me: the kitchen aide mixer, I NEED IT. I don't bake much but know I would if I had better euipment and not just a hand mixer.

1. If you could vacation anywhere for free where would it be and who would you bring with? (no you can't put where you are going on your HM)
2. How many siblings do you have? What number are you? (oldest, middle etc)

I would take FI and we'd take a European luxury train-vacation, starting in Prague (where his family is from), and going south to Vienna, then to Llubljiana and Lake Bled in Slovenia (where my family is from), then to Venice, and then Rome. Then, we'd turn around and come back through Paris and end in London. That would be so awesome!

I have 2 older sisters- so I'm the youngest. So is FI, actually. And even stranger is that my oldest sister married an oldest child, and my other sister married a middle child (as she is). Weird how things work out like that.

I love this game!

1. If I could vacation anywhere I would go to France and take my grandmother. She is French and used to travel there often but her health has made it hard to travel. If the trip was free we could get all the amenities she would need to visit her birth country.

2. I have one older brother.

Well then I actually started to study biology and chemistry and the only subject I enjoyed was anatomy and physiology and knew I couldnt see my self suffering through 16 years of schooling (pre-med, med, residency, specialized residency) to finally get into something I didnt fully enjoy. Thats when I found computer science and I loved making things work! lol.</div><div>

We started talking about getting married maybe after 6 months or so. We had been together more than three years when he proposed but we all knew it was just a matter of time.

Q: Do you have any pets? Can't sleep! And epics are today..I'm going to have dark circles I know it!!!!! On to the Q. I have a rat terrier who's birthday is TODAY! She's 5. So Happy Birthday Tinkerbell. I'll have to remember to pick up a small cake for her. I do it every year to celebrate. I also have 2 kittens as recently posted about deciding their names. Foxy Roxy..they're sisters. New Q: who is your FAV person in FI's family? I'll also answer it. I love FI's sister like my own. Since we've been together since she was 15.
