Help! I cannot find a venue that has the warmth and welcoming feel that we want that can fit 200 guests. We want a garden/Italian tuscany feel. Any suggestions in the New York area (including CT) would be greatly appreciated!

    have you looked into Tappan Hill? it is an abigail kirsch venue in Westchester that is Mark Twain's former home, and they have a room that might be able to go up to 200. i saw you were asking about the palm house, so tappan hill might also be in your budget. there's also an organic farm in the hudson valley that does weddings, something like Stone Hill, Blue Hill, something like that. if you ask on the hudson valley board someone will definitely know the name and steer you in the right direction.

    there are vineyards on the north fork of long island and some of them do weddings. have you looked into any of them? other than that i don't really know about a tuscany feel....

    Believe it or not, Tappan Hill is more expensive than the Palm House in Brooklyn! And The Stone Hill is even MORE than that! I also have heard that Tappan Hill does more than one wedding at a time, which we don't want. Thanks!
