Me either!
But...I was just thinking about maybe a pretty basket with some ribbon on it. WE are having a butterfly theme, so maybe clip some butterflies hanging down. But I have no clue!
I actually found a bird cage for cards in the wedding section at WalMart for $15 and I am thinking of getting it and painting my wedding colors and adding ribbons. My stoarge space it limited so not doing it until a little closer to time.
We found a cute basket at Hobby Lobby and my mom is going to put a small silk flower arrangement on one side or both. It's going to double as our program basket :

Here's mine. Just finished it yesterday. Total cost of $8.00
For those who plan on just having a basket with ribbons on it, be careful. Not saying that your guests are theives or anything, but there may be someone (worker, etc) than may just "take" a few of the cards and pocket the money. No one would like that to happen to them.
The top of my box is glued down and will not come off without tearing the box.
June 2012 May Siggy Challenge: The invitations 126 Are ready to party!
We haven't finished making it yet, but ours wound up being 4 tiers, alternating black and silver. On the black boxes we added glitter to make them sparkly and pretty, and on the silver boxes we will have a blue ribbon on the bottom. I also added a couple of fake daisies, like picture 2.
I am renting a bird cage from florist for $30 - it's a big cage. She is going to decorate it with flowers and put grass in the bottom of the cage. I also have a burlap pennet that says cards that will be tied to it! I'm pretty excited about! It's probably a waste of money, but the stress I would have if I made my own box would be too much!

My grandparents have a bunch of Louis Vuitton hard suitcases (same shape/idea as the picture). They're just sitting in their walk-in attic because they weigh a ton, making them hard to travel with and people at the airport weren't careful with them. I mentioned it to my grandpa, but II'm hoping mom will be able to convince/remind them to bring the smallest one down when they come for my cousin's wedding in a month.
That way I'd only have to make a pennant banner for it.
We used four of our engagement pictures and I also made pinwheels that have bunting in between that reads "cards" ... we're waiting to attach that though since we don't want anything to happen to it.
