Reasonably priced yet awesome engagement photographer?

We are getting married in NJ but live in Delray so would love some local and fun engagement photos. I literally don't know anything about vendors/photographers in the area, so was hoping some of you could point me in the right direction.

I love photojournalistic looks for engagement sessions, and was thinking we could do it in downtown Delray. If anyone has had a great experience with a local photographer and wouldn't mind passing them on, please let me know!

Also- I know this sounds completely silly, but how much should I expect to pay for engagement photos? Since our wedding is still so far off I haven't gotten into the nitty gritty of photos/pricing yet Smile

    You asked a very important question so do not feel silly in asking for the pricing of engagement pictures. When I was researching for my wedding photographer, the average price range I saw for engagement pictures (a la carte) were from $250 - $600. Most of theses sessions, (even the $600 ones) were usually for an hour long. My FI and I decided to chose a package which included the e-shoot. Our e-shoot was 3 hours long with 3 outfit changes.

    I'm going to highly recommend our photographer, Gloria Ruth. She is amazing! If you decide to contact her let her know Di referred you to her. I can even send you some of our e-pics if you like (you can PM me your e-mail address).

    www.vanessajulie.com Her name is Vanessa and she's amazing. She took my engagement pictures and she taking my wedding pics too. If you use her, tell her I referred you. Hopefully that will help with the price.

    Check out Orth photography, know they are VERY well priced. Like PP said engagements can run anywhere from $200 to $600, depending on who you go with. There's a http://www.evanrphoto.com/?page_id=174 and they have $200 engagement shoots. Good luck!!

    Check out my photographers Maloman photographers. I originally had another photographer for my E-shot. What a disaster with that company!! You can go to any photography company in South Florida as long as it is NOT Unique Design Studios!!!! That studio is a professional at ripping couples off. I learned the hard way.

    i didn't use her because i have a close friend who is a photographer who did ours but i loved her and would recommend talking to her, she is super nice and i know she just did another knottie's wedding and came w/ high reivews: 

    crystal is her name! e-pics are so much fun, we just did ours last weekend and had a blast!
