Wedding Woes

I need advice!

I sent out my Save the Dates last month and I was going to do the whole ceremony/reception thing. I sent them out to over 120 people I planned on inviting. But now I don't want to have a large ceremony or reception and just use the wedding money to buy a house. How do I go about "uninviting" some of the people I sent STD's to? I want less than 50 people at my reception (to save costs).

You don't. You already sent out STDs, and that is that.

You can cut back in other areas, but you cannot uninvite people.

    Ditto Loveshine. An STD=an invitation.

Next time, make sure you know WTF you want before you commit.

This post is one of many reasons why STD's are usually a bad idea.  You're SOL unless your cancel the wedding.

STDs should only be sent out to people that you are %100 sure you what to be there no matter what.  Why would send out 120 of them?  That is just ridiculous.

    You are stuck.

Short of calling each person individually and telling them the wedding is cancelled and explaining your backasswards self, nothing.

Good Luck and let us know how it goes.

The date has been saved for these people, so you can't uninvite them.  But what you can do is cut costs so that it doesn't cost as much per guest.

Or...you can get married somewhere highly undesirable to keep the Yes RSVPs to a minimum.  I would suggest the city dump at 3am.
