Non-denominational officiant?

Hello everyone!!!
I"m getting married next June, but I heard you should book the officiant early..... so I guess my question is really, is this something I should look into now?  We want something fairly non-denominational-neither of us are very religious, but his parents are so maybe something overall Christian, but not specifially Catholic, Anglican etc.

Any help as to where to start would be apprecited! Laughing

You may as well book it as soon as you know your date, seeing that you can't get married without one!

Try Jeremy Citron. I've seen him do a few weddings and he's great.

I would definitely look as soon as you have your date (reception & ceremony sites). We looked about 7 months before and found that a lot of people were already booked.
Most officiants will have a few ceremony options, with at least one non-religious and one more religious choice, and most will adapt those as well.

I heard great things about Jeremy Citron as ring_pop mentioned.
I also got good recommendations for Deborah Coleman (http://www.deborahcoleman.ca/index.html) & Married by Mandi (http://www.marriedbymandi.ca/). (All of whom were booked for my date.)

Definitely meet your officiant before booking, talk to them and get a sense of if they make you feel comfortable and suit your vision of your day.

Ana Paula Da Nova married me and a few of my friends liked her so much that they used her as well.

She's definitely not your run of the mill character but I assure you that her officiating was 100% professional and she's a pleasure to work with.

I'd agree with Jeremy Citron.  We booked him after seeing him perform a beautiful interfaith wedding for friends of ours.  He was so respectful, intelligent, had a great sense of humour and engaged the guests (pun fully intended).
