Wedding Venues for Reception

Hi everyone!

My sister is engaged (yay!!) and looking for possibile wedding venues. She's done her research online, but I figured I would come here and ask where you all are having your receptions.

Any other venues that you've heard of and are worth checking out?

She's looking for an October wedding, so venue location in Houston is open in the air.

Thank you!

October is a very popular month!  I got married this past October.  So the quicker she finds some venues the better off she is and should go ahead and book them.  It took me ages to finally find a place available for the date I wanted.  I planned my wedding in less than 5 months! What part of Houston is she thinking about?

She's stuck on October, so there's no way she's going to change her mind (even though she's starting to realize finding a venue so soon is going to be a bit difficult!).

She's really open to anywhere in Houston, but I guess her ideal areas would be inside the loop, Clear Lake and surrounding areas, Galveston, or Kingwood area.

Any recommendations would be great though :):)

    Thank you!!!

Depends on her wedding budget and # of guests.

    Pearland Hilton Garden Inn
The Admiral on Clear Lake is pretty, outside view to water
    Butlers Courtyard
    Centurion Palace
    Enchanted Gardens in Dickinson

If her wedding date is THIS October, she needs to hurry and book a venue

I agree with the other ladies - October (actually, fall in general) is a really popular wedding month. If she wants this October, she needs to book soon!

There are so many venues - so knowing a budget and headcount really helps to narrow things down.

My wedding will be at Safari Texas Ranch in Richmond, TX.

    As for other venues:

The Gallery, The Patio on Mercer, Ashton Gardens, Shirley Acres, Courtyard on St James. Just a few off the top of my head.

When we got engaged in February, it was WAY too late to book venues for the coming October. We waited until the next one to get married. Honestly, it won't be impossible to do a wedding in 8 months, but your selection , not just of venues but all types of professionals, starts to get limited.
