Bridesmaid & Groomsmen attire

I am planning on having pink and green as my colors for my may wedding. I have a vision in mind but am worried that it won't work out or look as good as it does in my mind. i would like for the bridesmaids to wear a white and pink floral knee length dress. i think i found the dress in a knot magazine last week. they would wear pink or white nice flip flops with that (haven't decided yet). for the guys (important note: i'm going with a very non-traditional, non-formal wedding) i would like for my groom  to wear a long sleeve button down black shirt with khaki shorts and flip flops. his groomsmen would be in similar shirts but green with khaki shorts and flip flops. please give me your honest opinions but keep in mind that this is a non traditional informal wedding. i am just looking to see if anyone thinks that it will match and look right. thanks

I think it could look nice, if the guys have their sleeves rolled up.  I am picturing a light green for the guys shirts.  I might consider putting the groom in a white shirt instead?  Not sure, black might look ok too

First, the bolded blue text is difficult to read.

Second, I dig the casualness of your wedding.  I think that's fine, but instead of the black shirt for your groom, I'd go with a white shirt.  Also, what does your dress look like?

I agree that the black shirt may be too dark for the groom.  What shades of pink and green are you thinking?

First, if you are doing a floral print for the dresses, only use one color of flowers, Other than that I think the color scheme sounds fine.

I wouldn't put the boys in black shirts and khakis. I like the idea of a pastel green like PP suggested. Maybe your FI could give them coordinating shirts as their groomsmen gift?? I love the casual look of linen suits... or even just pants with the coordinating shirts.

Most importantly... what does he want to wear? I think people are the most comfortable in clothes they feel good in...

    Just my thoughts...happy deciding!

Thanks to everyone who responded! I really appreciate your input! To answer all of the questions:
    • my original thought for the groom was a white shirt, and I wasn't stuck on black, so white works with me
    • sorry about the bolded blue text
    • i don't have my dress picked out yet but my style is what you would probably see someone wearing in a beach wedding, very flowy and casual
    • i am thinking of just spring colors for the pink and green
    • my fiancé doesn't care what he wears..he just told me to tell him where to be and when
Again, thanks to everyone! Your opinions really helped me out and made me feel more comfortable with my ideas.
