No ring for bachelorette party?!

Bummer!  I had to give up my e-ring to the designer last weekend and she assured me I would get it back by my bachelorette party this Sat.   Well since Monday was a Jewish holiday, it's not actually going to happen.  I'm really bummed.  And since the rings that I've been trying to wear in it's place are no where near the right size 4, I'm worried I would lose it while wine tasting and riding a bull tomorrow!  haha  I'm thinking this calls for going and buying a fake big bling ring for the day!  ;)

I started wearing by "backup" ring yesterday.  FI got a wrap for the wedding band.  The engagement ring diamond was smaller than he was happy with, so he got me a wrap for the wedding band and they fit together.  He told me I had to find a replacement ring because he was taking it...they are sizing my ering down and sodering the two together as one....so I got my backup ring...super bling-ee...and now I wont see mine again until wedding day...I miss my ring...

  • That's what FI said I should do! I dropped my ring off earlier this week to get refinished and she said it might be done Saturday, but if not then Tuesday. Soo chances are I won't have it for my stagette tomorrow night. I think I'm going to need a fake ring because I'll feel really weird saying I'm engaged and then not having a ring! haha
  • I started wearing my backup ring too, but it's just a very plain rose gold band (I wanted a rose gold wedding band and couldn't find any I liked, so I just ordered a cheapo won off Etsy for when I run or swim). I was wearing it with the engagement ring which I guess kind of defeats the purpose, ha. I'd just put it on for a sec to play around with it while I was getting dressed and then kept forgetting to take it off whenever I was home. I wore it for like two days, ha, whoops.

  • I had to hand over my engagement ring 2 weeks ago to get resized and soldered to my wrap band. After a week, I couldn't take being ringless, so I dug through my jewlery box and found my grandmas old ring. I've had it sitting a box forever, and completely forgot about it. I'm actually somewhat excited that I won't be able to wear MY ring for another 2 weeks because I actually get a chance to wear my grandmas.

Back when we first got engaged, I sent my ring in to get resized. While it was gone, I went to a bridal show. I didn't want to show up to a bridal show ringless, so I stopped at Claires and found the blingyest fake ring they had. Honestly, I had SO many people compliment me on that ring! Ha!

  • I was without my e-ring for about 2 1/2 weeks and it felt like twice that long!  I did miss my ring.  I was wearing my mom's e-ring during that time but on the 2nd day I noticed the diamond was loose.  Soo...that ring went to the jeweler and I got a cheeaap fake ring at the state fair!  That one made a green line on my finger (surprise, surprise) so I gave up and went ringless.  Getting my real ring back almost felt like I just got it for the first time again!

I agree, I would definitely buy a ring to wear for your bachelorette party!

  • I had to drop my ring off a few weeks ago and asked the jeweler if they'd give me a rental. :-) Unfortunately, they said no. We all miss our rings when they're gone!

Love your idea of the big bling for your party!
  • I've seen some super obnoxious ones that are pink and the "diamond" is actually a shot glass. I'd get one of those. :)
