Traditional or modern dress?

Soooo, I'm going dress shopping this weekend and really hope to purchase something fabulous.  I tried on a bunch of dresses last week and am a little torn.  I tend to be drawn more toward more modern dresses (fit and flare, maybe some ruffles worked in there someplace), but am worried that in a few years I will regret my trendy choice.  There were some more traditional dresses that I liked as well.

Do I play it safe with a more traditional dress or go for something more modern?

What do you think???

    I think you should go with what looks best on you. That's what I did. It ended up being much more traditional that I ever imagined. I think you should pick the dress that makes you feel the best, look the best, and is the dress that you just don't want to take off because you love it so much. :) Good luck!! Happy hunting!Laughing

    Go with what you love!   If you truly love it now, I'm sure you'll love it down the road.  It is a tough choice, but I definitely had the yes, this is it moment.  Hopefully you'll get the same this weekend.  :)

    I went with the more traditional just because it fits me and my venue better.  I would have loved to have done a hip/modern dress as well but I didin't go with it.
    I think that if you love it now go for it. It's you that will make your photos timeless, not your dress!
