OMG ladies... i'm so upset!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We found out today that FOR SURE both our agents are taking less commission in order to offer us the 1k because they're so upset about how long this process has been & how much work these crazy sellers have caused....
I know this house sounds like a crazy nightmare but I feel so torn. I'm worried that i'm letting their real estate agent down, our real estate agent down, and the sellers down. Not to mention how crushed DH & I will be to know that this house that we've been banking on isn't going to work out...
I know this is ill advised, but we asked the sellers for one last time to let us send in a contractor. If they wont let us, we will HAVE to walk away.... But what if the next house we find needs just as many repairs? How long do we have to wait until we finally find our home?
I feel stupid because I can't separate my heart from my checking account....

Re: SO UPSET!!!!
I don't blame you for trying one last time with the sellers. But if they are uncooperative, in my opinion it's apparent that they are hiding something and just trying to get rid of the house with the quickness. I still stick by my earlier advice to walk away from it. I understand there are emotions involved but imagine your emotions if this house is a major problem that you and your husband must try to fix up for years to come. It's just not worth it.
Have you looked up any other houses that are available? Online or with your realtor? I think it will help you get over this house a little easier if you see a few other houses that could be options. B/c right now it seems like if you don't get this house, there's nothing else out there - but that could not be farther from the truth. There is a BETTER house waiting for you and your husband - that's how God works! This has been messy and drawn out, but that doesn't mean you have to commit yourself to this situation. Talk it out with your husband, cry, write in a journal, vent to friends/relatives about it and let it go.
[QUOTE]Girl, I know you feel bad for the realtors - but you cannot worry about them. This would be the house that you and your husband would live in and maintain, not them. You and your husband would be paying for major repairs and putting lots of money into the home, not them. You and your husband would possibly be trying to sell it if it turns out to be a problem house/money pit and you cannot take it any longer, not them. So please don't worry about the realtors - they will be okay. You are not their only client.

<div>THIS! Don't "worried" about letting them down because if you end up in this house and the damage ends up being $20k+... they aren't going to be "worried" about letting you down. There are plenty other houses out there for you, maybe even in the same neighborhood. Drop that house! </div>

If you go forward with the purchase of this home with FULL KNOWLEDGE of its issues... You and your husband are liable for all of the repairs and renovations needed + the mortgage + any other living expenses that you will have... not to mention, you want to LIVE comfortably and not be HOUSE POOR, so early in your newly married relationship.... Just from what you have shared with us... via TK... Amberly... It's NOT WORTH IT.... Just walk away... seriously...
