Makeup & Hair vendor advice

Does anybody have any feedback on these makeup aritsts/hair stylists? I'm trying to narrow it down and any feedback would be wonderful! Thank you!!

KAG has had some pretty tough reviews on here.  I've opted to keep looking because of what I've heard.

I'm going to be using KAG to do hair and makeup for me and my 10 bridesmaids for my wedding this Saturday even though I was probably one of the ones who gave them a tough review.  Just as a "trial" I had them do my makeup for my bridal shower, and they made me REALLY late for the shower, so I looked around for another salon that could handle 11 girls in a reasonable amount of time.  I contacted Lucie Marie, but after a few email exchanges Angela never returned my emails, even after I followed up.  But, I know a few brides have been happy with Lucie Marie.  I ended up using Joie de Vie for a full hair and makeup trial for my bridal portraits, and the talent just wasn't there.  My hair was nothing like the photo I brought with me, and I felt like I had my makeup applied by my 17 year old cousin.  I had Brizy at KAG do another trial run, and she has SO much more talent, and I was very happy with the result.  I stressed to her how important that we NOT BE LATE to the wedding, and she's blocked off 4 1/2 hours to get all of us done using 3 stylists.  I'm crossing my fingers that everything will go well, and I'll report back with my experiences!

I have heard good things about showstopper makeup. I actually know the make-up artist personally and am using her for my upcoming wedding.  She is very knowledgeble and does great work!

I am using Rhea McCarter for makeup. I did a trial with her and she is AMAZING. She is really bubbly and funny, too. Her prices are really reasonable, too.

Hands down Keep Austin Gorgeous (KAG)! I met Kelli at the Bridal Extravaganza in September. At the time she was with another salon but the only make up artist I met that did airbrush make up. I had never tried the airbrush before and was interested in trying for my wedding She followed up with me and told me she moved to KAG. So I got my make up done just for a girls night out. I couldn't believe how nice my skin looked! I felt like a movie star! The make up didn't feel cakey like I thought it might. I will def go with her at KAG. I also like that KAG will shut down the whole salon just for my wedding party.

Thanks for the advice ladies. I contacted Katie with Modern Muse make-up Tuesday I think it was and got an out of office reply that she was having a baby and would be back in October...still haven't heard from her. Thought that was pretty odd. I think I'll look into KAG.

Glad to hear things went better with KAG since I, too, feel like she's one of the only people who can get the look I want for my wedding.
