Just got a call from our apartment that there is a problem with electric and we can't move in until at least Friday. They "hope it's not an inconvenience"....

well yeah it is because I took off from from work and drove an hour with my car loaded up with stuff to start moving in TODAY. I called them yesterday to make sure everything was okay and they said yes. This is total bulls*it. I realize that it's not their fault that the electric broke but they need to do something other than say "hope it's not an inconvenience" They won't even let us have access to the garage to put my boxes in there. I don't think that's too much to ask. Now I have an entire unpaid day off from work for no reason (I'm hour away from my job so it's not like I just go in for a few hours. UGHHHHHHH

    id call and bitch if i were you. Do you really need electric to put stuff in the apartment. Thats weird.

    Ugh, that sucks!  I would let them know that it IS a huge inconvienience, that you took the day off of work and already have a bunch of stuff to put in there - if it were me I'd at least demand that they let me unload the car!  Totally not too much to ask.  Sorry to hear!

    Yep we are on way there right now with my car loaded up. We are going to tell them that we were already driving from Tampa and see what they suggest we do with all my stuff lol. They need to do something for us....this is bad is customer service. If it wasnt so close to the wedding we would just find somewhere else to live since we haven't signed the lease yet.
