That if you are a female on a college campus and you're ill, the only possible causes are eating disorders, depression, or STDs?  WTF. 

The nurse at the health center was a biitch.  I was so angry and upset, I almost slapped her.  She ignored everything I told her and didn't bother with any sort of physical tests.  She took one look at me and decided that I needed more calcium and iron and I'd be all better.

She was kind enough to order a blood test for me, but she'll be on vacation for the next two weeks so I'll have to wait until she gets back for the results.  Thanks.  I really appreciate that.

I'm going to find a real doctor.

    I was about to say "every time I went they made me take a pregnancy test, even though I obviously was having allergy issues and told them I had never had sex."

    I totally know how you feel! When I ended up at the student health center for what was later diagnosed as gallbladder problems they kept asking me if I was sure I wasn't pregnant. I wanted to slap them and say since I'm a virgin I KNOW I'm not pregnant you idiot!

    I totally suggest just going to a real doctor. I sat around at the student health center on campus for 6 hours in horrific pain pretty much for nothing. Going to the hospital and getting a real doctor worked out alot better!

    I fainted in class and they diagnosed me with a UTI. Then I fainted in the shower and they diagnosed me with....a UTI. I finally went to my doctor back home and I found out that I have low blood pressure and mitral valve prolapse which is a very non-serious heart condition but something I should know I have. Oh, and I didn't have a UTI.

    OH!!! And every time you went to our health center they would give you a brown paper bag full of cough drops, sudafed, Tylenol, and condoms. No matter what you were being treated for.

    I was never asked any of those things! Except when I had to get the Plan B.  The funniest time was when I went in peeing massive amounts of blood, they were like..... um, I think something is wrong with your urinary tract, you should see a urologist. Yes, thank you. I wasn't aware I should do that, just give me the referrals.

    Damn it, now I'm having second thoughts though.  Maybe I should go have the blood test just in case there is something wrong.  Blood's objective.  I won't have to see her anyway.  Of course, if I don't have diabetes or a thyroid condition I''ll have to sit through another eating disorder diagnoses.  She'll be all triumphant and smug.

    Yeah, when they put a restriction on how Sudafed is sold I immediately thought of how easy it was to get some in college.

    Oh no! Dont go back there! Everything I hear about the doctors and nurses at the healthcenter are terrible.  Exactly what happened to you.  The only good thing I hear is the chiropractor.  Hope you get it figured out and feel better soon hun.
