So FI's birthday is coming up in two weeks and I need some help on birthday gift ideas. I thought about trying to get tickets to a Rangers game since we haven't gone to one yet this year. I also thought about getting him a bbq grill for the new home. I have no ideas on what bbq grill to buy but I figured I would get a small gift and in his card include a picture of a grill and let him pick it out. When I asked what he wanted he said a dishwasher and new fridge for the new home.... I thought the grill while for the home would be something fun and entertaining.
I don't have any budget in mind, we usually spend about $200 or so on birthday gifts but I don't mind going over this time since we just got engaged. Any other suggestions or ideas? Is the grill a bad idea? Thoughts/opinions/suggestions welcomed!!!

Yea if I got him a grill I wouldn't know what he would want so I'd rather let him pick it out.

When it comes to grills, I find most guys really have strong opinions about what they want. Maybe you could just get him a Home Depot gift card for x amount to put towards a grill? That way he can find what he likes when you two are ready to purchase. Also...you can find a lot of great sales just before the 4th of July. That's when we bought ours 2 years ago.
I too need to focus my attention on picking out his gift. Your idea for a grill is super great!

lol yes!
[QUOTE]I love the idea of a grill. If he's someone who loves to grill then that's perfect. I like the idea of maybe getting a nice set of grilling utensils and wrapping those, along with a gift card to Home Depot to buy the grill. Mo and I had this set of tools and really liked it: http://www.williams-sonoma.com/products/grill-tools-4-piece-set-storage-case/?pkey=e%7Cgrill%2Bset%7C12%7Cbest%7C0%7C1%7C24%7C%7C2&cm_src=PRODUCTSEARCH||NoFacet-_-NoFacet-_-NoMerchRules-_-
