Invitation question

So, I really had my heart set on doing pocketfold invitations, but I don't think I'll be able to.  We will be having a lot of out of town guests so I wanted to include all the directions, accomodations, and stuff like that in the invitations.  If I get regular invitations I guess I'll just have all that information on our wedding website and put the web address on the invitations.  So I guess my question is, did any of you all have any problems with people getting important information off your wedding website?  My major concern is for the older people who may not even have a computer in their house lol.

    I drove people to our website.  I too was worried about the older people getting online.  It ended up not being a big deal because someone else was helping all of those people book their travel anyway. I think you'll be fine, but you know your guests best.

    Thanks, I guess I didn't really think about that.  Most of the people I'm worried about have somebody that can help them.  If not, I'm sure I'll be getting lots of phone calls lol.

    I was worried about getting all of the important info to my guests, so I did pocketfolds.  I couldn't really afford, $1/pocketfold, so I created an invite with a pocket on the back (I forgot what kind of pocketfold it is called).  We used 12 x 12 sheets of scrapbook paper from Hobby Lobby at $0.59/sheet and made two out of each sheet.  Pic in bio, if you are interested.

    mandikaykay that is a great idea!  I loved how they turned out!  How did you attach the pocket to the back like that?

    I love the pocketfold invitations and if I could do it all over again I would do the pocketfold from Cards and Pockets where everything fits neatly in a lil' envelope pocket thingy.  I love MandiKayKay's idea too.  I love stalking her bio for ideas.  She is the DIY Princess (FI's Aunt is the DIY Queen :)  I just purchased my invitations from Target and made my own inserts with the directions and hotel acommodation info.  I put the wedding website information on the inserts, but apparently no one noticed.  So, now I'm going to be sending an e-mail to those folks with e-mails to remind them to check out our wedding website.  I'm so annoyed that people didn't notice the wedding website, because I put a lot of freaking work into that website.

    Tamtam, yea her bio has a lot of great DIY stuff, I saved it to my bookmarks.  What you did with your invitations sounds like a great idea as well.  I'm so glad I found this board, there are so many ideas that I wouldn't think of by myself.  Sometimes I have such a one track mind it's hard to stray away from what I have my heart set on.

    Lol I hear you on the wedding website, I've been working on mine for a while and people better go look at all my hard work!
