Any places with the same interior looks as the Grand Summit Hotel?

We've looked at like 15 places and pretty much this is the only interior we like out of all of them!  We like the cocktail room with the stone floors and the ballroom with the muted chandeliers, and the lobby as well, it has kind of a "Men's Club" feel with the fireplace, leather couches, etc.

We are almost at the point where we will choose the Grand Summit but I wanted to see if there were any other places worth looking at before we make that final decision.  Thanks!

I am getting married at the Grand Summit on October 1st. I loved the feel of that place....I do not have any other suggestions other than the Madision hotel since we only looked at 2 places.  If you haven't looked at the Madision Hotel, the conservatory is beautiful but is very small. I liked the ballroom with the dark navy walls and the dark wood, kind of similar. but i didn't like the 2 weddings at once and sharing the same bathrooms as the guests at the other wedding. oh and the old bar they have there was really cool

Thanks we looked at the Madison as well, but I didn't like it.  I didn't like how you had to go up/down steps at the reception to get to the bar and bathrooms (my FMIL walks with a cane so she wouldn't like that as well as other, elder guests) and I just didn't really like the feel of the conservatory room.  I like the Grand Summit much better!  I am pretty much set on the Grand Summit but I will feel guilty if I don't consider each and every venue that might be worth looking at.

Question for you, how many stations are you allowed at your cocktail hour?  On the menu the Grand Summit gave us, it was unclear.

The basic package includes 3 "action" stations. You can add additional ones if you like for more $$...the New Jersey one sounds cool but we didn't opt for any others outside of the ones that come with the package

Ok thanks!  It will be cool if I have it there and it will be nice to know other's on the board have had it there as well.  I might as well just pick it cuz I am getting sick of looking at places!

I had my wedding at The Grand Summit a month ago and all I can do is rave about as do my guests.  My pictures came out so awesome too, the hotel lends a great backdrop!  My guests thought the cocktail hour was the dinner because there was so much food.  We had 3 live stations also - Mexican, Asian and Shrimp/Scallop Sautee.  We also had the Viennese hour.  I wrote a review on the Knot Reviews.  Good luck!  I think the Grand Summit is one of a kind.

I was almost set on The Grand Summit, but then I looked at The Olde Mill Inn in Basking Ridge. I was looking for a hotel with character and the 'old, country' feel, and The Olde Mill Inn has just that. It has a library with leather couches for guests to sit in, a lobby that is welcoming, a courtyard for outside pictures, along with grounds for additional pictures. I did not like how the Grand Summit had no area for outside pictures, except for the entrance, so I am glad I kept looking and found The Olde Mill Inn.  The Grand Summit definitely has a different look to it, but it wasn't all there for me, but everyone is looking for something different, so hopefully you will find what you are looking for!

    Bernards Inn or Fiddler's Elbow?

Our venue, Hamilton Farm Golf Club, definitely has an old men's club feel (it is built on an old estate), but the reception is held in a tent rather than the mansion.  Guests have the run of the mansion during the event though.

None of those are in the Grand Summit price range though, if budget is a concern.

Other thoughts would be the Glen Ridge Women's Club, the Women's Club of Ridgewood, or Skylands Manor.  Really, probably almost anywhere that is an estate-turned-venue has that kind of feel.
