My dress has arrived!!!!

I don't post much on here, but I just had to share my excitement!  I got a call from the bridal shop, out of the blue, saying my dress was here!!  I get to go to my first fitting on Monday.  So excited/nervous.  Has anyone else received their dress?  How did it go?

    That is awesome!!! I've had my dress in my possession since last May!  Mind you I got it from David's so it was a pretty quick turnaround and I was originally supposed to be a March bride (my wedding would have been in 10 days...blows my mind...and so glad we gave ourselves more time).  That is really great though.  Be sure to take and post pics for us!

    My dress came in extremly early got it in Feb. and ordered in Dec. I went and tried it on but they wont be doing the first fitting until it gets closer to Sept. I talked them into having the dress stay at the shop until the middle of March b/c I am nervous to have it at my house. So make sure you ask when you have to take it home and since your already having your first fitting what happens closer to the day. i.e. you will want it freshly steammed before the wedding. Remember to bring the shoes you are going to wear for the hem...

    Have fun it was a sureal experiance trying on my exact dress. Its so exciting!!Everytime I pass by bridal shop I want to go in and try it on...lol

    Hm thanks for the advice!  I guess this isn't technically a "first fitting," I just get to try it on but not with a tailor.  i'm looking forward to the experience, regardless!
