DO NOT rent tuxes from Men's Warehouse!

Wow...I am SOOO glad that I went with my fiance to see his tux when it came in..our wedding is Saturday and the tux arrived yesterday so we went to try it on. My fiance is European and likes things cut slim but we knew he wouldnt get exactly what he wanted by renting...but since not all the groomsmen had tuxes we resorted to renting.

He stepped out of the dressing room and I swear I thought I was looking at Homer Simpson in a tux from 1998. It was TERRIBLE...aside from the pants being pleated and so baggy that the ankles looked tapered...the dress shirt was so big that the shoulder seam sat below his shoulder muscle!! It looked so sloppy I was shocked! The Men's Warehouse people seemed totally unconcerned they basically said that "this is how rented tuxes fit"...um no.

we walked out of there and drove straight to Merrick Park and bought him a tux at Nordstroms...I CANNOT believe that renting a tux gets you looking like that! 

My suggestion is to go with your boys to see the tuxes if you rent from there! 

anyway...countdown!! 3 days!!

    Eek. Men's warehouse was rude to us so we went to jos a banks. But I'm glad it all worked out for your fiancé

    We had set up and account at Men's Warehouse but then the lady at my venue said she had multiple horrible experiences (not fitting correctly, makeup stains on the shirts, etc) with them and that she highly reccomended Jos. A Banks instead so we are going with them.

    Our wedding is Saturday so I will let you girls know how they measure up!

    I'm sorry you had a bad experience!!!...On a positive note to all brides who read this (since so many people use MW) I'd simply suggest just making sure you get in the tux's AT THE LATEST 2 days ahead of time so it gives them time to get in anything that isn't right. FI has been in 2 weddings with MW tux's and there were no problems at all. I unfortunately couldn't find a nationwide chain that carried a brown or tan tux for rental and wasn't about to ask my the GM's to buy a tux. I have heard a lot of positive feedback about them, so hopefully this won't happen to any other soflo knotties!

    FI went to MW and didn't really like the selection so he decided on Mr Tux instead. I plan on going with him now though just to make sure it looks good on him. Sorry you went through that but thanks for letting us know

    Sorry and thanks for the advice! FI bought his tux from Macys because they were having a sale and we got an extra discount when we put it on his moms corporate employee credit card, but we will have our gm rent from somewhere. Is the jos place everywhere? Tuxes are supposed to be one of fi wedding tasks but that just means I'll end up doing it last minute.

    Ahh yes I forgot to add the men's ware house review! We used them simply bc they were the easiest for us. I loved the tux's we got. My FI <what is the abr for husband?  went to pick them up the day before since everyone was in town together and 4 out of the 5 fit terribly. I ahev no idea how they can so terribly mess up measurements. One of the GM's vest was also a totally different color. They had to go back the morn of and pick them up. They looked good to me but yea what a pain in the ass..

    omg i really hope that doesn't happen to us!!  we just went in there & they were so great to us - i love the girl we worked w/.  which location did you use?  we went w/ flat front pants and not pleated so hopefully that will not be an issue :(  i'm so sorry to hear about that... ughhh i'm worried now :(:(  maybe we will go back so FI can try on the pants to see what it would look like... b/c he (and so do i) likes a very tailored look (not baggy!!!).  thanks for the heads up.....

    Yikes! We were going to go to Men's Warehouse this weekend to look at Tuxs!! I'm going to be super anal about how they fix and prob wont get it from them!
