MKE Budget Brides: Outpost, Beans & Barley Catering??? Other Budget Caterers?

Hi all,

I'm new to the boards. My guy and I are doing a commitment ceremony next June (getting married here in Korea in December). We're trying to stay around 4k for our ceremony/reception. One idea is to have it at my parents' backyard, but we would want caterers to come in to take care of the food, etc.

Anyone have/had Outpost or Beans & Barley cater their reception? How was it? Good food? Affordable?

Another idea was to make the food ourselves (we're only having about 60 people), but we would want someone to come in and take care of the "service" part for us. Any suggestions for companies that might do that kind of thing?

I'm really out of the loop. I've been living in Asia for the past 5 years...not sure what's what anymore. Thanks for any and all suggestions!!!

    Angelina's Deli in Brookfield has a very nice and affordable catering menu and I looove their food.

    I love Beans & Barley - such great food!  I'm not sure about their catering though.  I looked at their website, and if you're only serving 60 people, you'd probably be able to stay under $500 depending on what you get.

    I was interested in the Outpost as well. I had a horrible time trying to get in contact with the person in charge of catering---after numerous calls where I was unable to talk to her/got disconnected by the people answering the phones and noone seemed to know her schedule so I could call back at a better time, I gave up....

    I love the store, but I became leary about the catering after it was so hard to get in contact with them.

    If you're looking for other caterers that offer organic/vegetarian/'green' menu options you could look into  Gooseberries catering out of Burlington.
