I wasn't expecting anything much, but I knew it was going to be this weekend. I had made it pretty clear that I didn't really want to go out drinking because I don't usually drink more than one drink ever anymore. I didn't give my girls any pressure for a bachelorette party, because frankly, I didn't care if I had one or not.
So on Sunday morning, my best friend since we were 4 picked me up and took me to a local day spa. All my bridesmaids were there (my college best friend and my two sisters). I had a facial, manicure and professional make-up application. The others all had some combination of the three things. Then, they brought me home and parted ways. FI said we should go out for a nice dinner since I was all made up. He made me put a dress on and got dressed for dinner.
On our way out the door, my friends showed up again! It turns out, that was the big plan! FI stayed home, and I went out to dinner with my two best friends (and no sisters...one was home with her boyfriend since it was his birthday and the other is my much younger sister who would have felt out of place.) They took me to a restaurant that is actually owned by the same company that is catering the wedding and we had a chef's tasting. The restaurant doesn't usually do that, but they designed one just for us! It was 10 small dinner courses and 2 desserts! The food was all amazing and we had such a great time. We literally ate for 3 hours as they brought more and more food out! I wish I had a copy of the menu, but for whatever reason, when they emailed it to my MOH, she couldn't open the file. We had lamb, duck, kobe beef, foie gras, lobster stuffed squash blossoms, calamari, etc. Just amazing!
