  I feel the same way. I haven't had that "OH MY THIS IS IT" feeling either. I say keep looking too.

  After the first couple stores, I had narrowed it down, but I just wasn't convinced with anything.  As I kept shopping, I found that I kept comparing every dress to one that I liked at the first store.  The more dresses I tried, the more I thought about this dress (a dress that I was NOT sure about at first).  So we finally went back to the first store (several weeks later) and tried it on again.  The moment it was on, I knew.

  
  

  I never really had "the moment", but I wouldn't trade my dress for any dress in the world!  It'll come.  Narrow down what you've tried on so far.   Don't be afraid of different styles... eventually (if not already) you'll find yourself leaning toward a style.  Remember you can't try on everything, but there are so many dresses in so many budgets, there is one out there for you in your price range.  Keep comparing and trying.  You'll get there.   I tried on so many  dresses, probably close to a 100 honestly, but when I finally tried on my dress, I just knew it.  When you find the dress you can just tell.  Keep looking, you will have that moment.

  I think you'll know.  It will probably be a combination of "you'll know" and the "comparing the dresses to the one you liked best".  I also think, though, the more you try on the more confused you get.  I found "the one" my first day looking (I teared up and everything).  But I wanted to make sure it was "the one" before I bought it, so I tried a few other places and then went back to try it on again.  None of the dresses had the same affect on me, so I finally decided to buy the dress. But really, the more I tried on the more confused I got.

  I got really frustrated when I was looking.   They were all really pretty, and most of them looked great.  I didn't have any 'magic' sparks about them though.
  
  When I found mine, not only did it look and feel right to me, but my Mom and MOH actually agreed that it was perfect.  (Previously, there was always some little detail that one or the other of them didn't like)

  I never really had that "this is it moment". The first day of trying on dresses I knew I wanted a Maggie Sottero. I went to her website and found a dress that I LOVED and was exactly as I imagined looking on my wedding day. However, it was a brand new style and no place in Dallas had it in yet. I called the designer and found out the closest place who had one was in Brinkley, Arkansas. So, I flew to Arkansas to try it on.
  
  I liked it when I put it on, but was still leaning towards a dress I found in Dallas, also a Maggie dress. Luckily the store in Arkansas had the same dress. I tried them both on several times and still couldn't make up my mind. I came closer to that "this is it" moment with the dress from Dallas. The saleslady asked me which one I could see myself getting married in and I couldn't answer her. A lady there with another bride asked if I wanted the opinion of everyone else sitting around (about 20 people). I was more than happy for the input. Everyone liked the dress I went to Arkansas to find. Not one person chose the other dress.
  
  I went with the masses and bought the dress I had seen on line. I've had a lot of second thoughts about it, but when I have it on, it feels perfect.
  
  So, I guess the point to that long story is I don't know that everyone gets that ah-ha moment. I would say just keep trying them on. You should be able to narrow it down to a style and maybe a designer. 
  
  One suggestion, once you buy a dress, stop looking!
  
  Good luck finding the perfect dress.

  / so much for all your responses, I really appreciate it! I actually had one style I thought I wanted when I started looking--pretty simple. Then I tried on trains and beading and all that jazz and sort of liked those too. So then it became hard to narrow down what I really liked the most. 

  
  

  I've now found one that I really like, but of course it's way outside my price range.  (I wish I had noticed that before I tried it on!) There are others (all within my price range) that I do like, but none that I feel so strongly about. And I'm afraid the more I look the more confused I get....
