Houston Bridal Expo

Hi all-

I just got engaged a couple of weeks ago :)  and I live in the suburbs of Houston.  This is my first post so please bear with me...

My mom is coming to visit me for a weekend in July (she lives in the Northeast), and I just saw that the Houston Bridal Expo is scheduled for the weekend that she will be here.

I am wondering if it will be worth it for us to attend the Expo, here's why:
-I have not yet decided where or when we will be getting married
-There is a 90% chance that our wedding will NOT be in Houston
Is there stuff there that we help me just to get some ideas about what I want to do, or is it mainly for people who are ready to choose their Houston vendors?  Also, my fiance has expressed in interest in going... do guys actually attend these kind of shows?

Thanks for your help, I'm looking forward to your replies and posting more on these boards :)

Almost all are houston vendors. You might see a booth or two of destination weddings and honeymoon ideas.

you can get an idea of things that you like and don't like.  I went back in january before i was engaged with a friend who was getting married.  I didn't think it was all that great but at the time i wasn't looking for anything. I am going to attend it in july and hopefully it helps more!  it's only $8 a ticket!
