I can't believe it's already Monday! This weekend was long & eventful. Honestly I'm kind of glad it's over. We had lots of company this weekend & some of them were just disrespectful & rude! I'm glad to have the place to just DH and I. I have lots of cleaning to do & I have a 2nd interview! Wish me luck!

I hope everyone had a great weekend!

    Sorry about your disrespectful guests Krystal! Gotta love people who take your hospitality and then can't stop being rude...

    I had my second fitting this weekend that went MUCH smoother than the first. I worked with the owner of the shop and so all the changes I want will (crossing my fingers) be possible. The only thing I noticed that was odd was that the dress was MUCH more cleavage-y than the last time I went... turns out they put push-up cups in and didn't shorten the straps enough... Sure, I want to be a knock-out but not actually KILL any of my older relatives from shock!

    Hope everyone's having a great (as much as possible, boo Mondays) day!

    That sucks about the disrespectful guests!! Good luck with the interview Krystal!!

    Too funny about the dress :o) Hopefully it'll all work out and fit exactly as you want it to!

    This weekend was busy busy but lots of fun!! Class starts Wed / Thursday. I'm slightly nervous due to being away for so long and worried about the load, but I've got my fingers crossed :o)

    Krystal - Its hard enough having guests in your home...much less to have them be rude and disrespectful.  Knottie vibes for your interview

    C - Yay for your 2nd fitting! My dress cuts down low...and since I have nothing its not a big deal...I hope my cups don't go crazy during alterations!


    Busy weekend as usual for us.  Friday I went to my first dress fitting which was great...I've been biting my nails for weeks now.  It was supposed to come in mid-late July and it was definitely August 6th and I just got to go in for my fitting on Friday.  Whew! 2 weeks for alterations and I hope that nothing turns out funky!

    We headed to see friends Friday night, played Rock Band and had a great time.  Saturday morning was a suprise shower for one of my best friends in Lincolnton, Saturday night was a wedding in Charlotte and yesterday we cleaned and cleaned and attended a Homeowners Association meeting.  I started my bleach kit for my teeth so I'm nearly dying here at the office without drinking coffee. OY!

    Haha Malea, you never know- those push-up cups are serious business! My girls aren't super large but they definitely were the stars of the show on Saturday... and then I saw my dress on Say Yes to the Dress Atlanta- some girl had returned it because it was too cleavage-y. I started to panic! But worst case scenario, we'll just use some creative fashion tape to keep them in place and march on. After all, when asked what he wanted in my wedding dress, FI's only reply was "boobies," so at least one person will be happy. :)

    Good morning! The weekend really did go by super fast... boo.  But, the dinner party that I threw for my MOH on Saturday went fabulously.  I just posted about it in my blog. Check it out, the food was delish, I wish I could eat all of that again right now!

    Good morning!  This weekend was too short. 

    We went and finally picked out tuxes Sat. morning.  We got much better service as Jos. A Banks than we did at Mens Wearhouse (where the girl wouldn't answer any of our questions and told us she was just "there" when we asked her opinions or for suggestions, and she ouldn't lay any of the stuff out for us).  So that will be done as soon as we get in and pay the deposit!  We also went to the GSO Beer Festival which as always was a good time.

    Yesterday my mom came over and we got most of the invites addressed and sealed and stamped, so we just have to wait until the end of the month to stick them in the mail.  We also went out to the Old Mill in Oak Ridge, which has been a working mill since the 1700s.  I bought some cute bags of cookie, muffin, and biscuit mix made from their products to use as shower hostess gifts.  I'll add some cookie cutters or buscuit/muffin pans to each (the sweet potato cinammon biscuits sound so yummy!).

    Wish we had one more day off though!

    Ditto Janice! I am starting my kit after Christmas, about 5 months out. I never worried about having to bleach, until I started this job in January - now, 60 hour work weeks = way too much coffee!!

    Beka-Classes this week!  Sucks for you!  Haha! j/k!  :) You will do awesome!

    Sassy-Did you get your bleach kit from your dentist?  I'm considering doing bleaching, but a little nervous about teeth sensitivity.

    Beth-Dang it!  I wish I knew Jos A. Banks did tuxes.  We went to Men's Wearhouse on Capital, and the lady was a complete B!  We went to the Cary store, and had a much better experience.  And I LOVE the Old Mill.  Oak Ridge is my hometown, born and raised there.  I'm proud of my town! :)


    Sunday, I did my bpics, and it was fun!  I can't wait to see the pics!  Elizabeth Tolley did fabulous hair and makeup!  Love her! :)  Tomorrow, I get to drop off my dress at Olga's.  I'm slightly concerned about it fitting since I have gain a few pounds from the time I ordered it.  Long story short, I was mid size, but much closer to the lower size and tried on that size in the store and it fit.  Needless to say, I forgot sample dresses stretch from everyone trying them on.  Mine came into the store, and it did fit, but was very snug.  Now, having gained a few pounds, I'm concerned.  I haven't tried it on since bc I have had no one to help me in it.  Gym and more salads are in my future!

    I'm in almost the same boat.  I bought my dress in February and it fit perfectly, I gained some weight (less than 10 pounds) before meeting with Olga in May.  In May, Olga ever-so-gently said that it would fit better if I lost 5 pounds (of course).  Well, I've been working on it, but emotions sure don't help, and I've had my fair share of those the last couple months.  I'm scared my dress won't fit too, my fitting's not until September.  I can't put it on by myself, so I haven't tried to see if it fits.

    C - How funny to see it on SYTTD!  I'm sure you will be stunning...girls and all.  It will all be fine I'm sure =)

    Janice & Sarah - Its lunch and I'm still cranky without my coffee...this is going to be a rough couple of weeks.  I must say...if I can get away with drinking it out of a straw I just may have to do that silly or not.  Now the weekend wine might look a bit silly with a straw =p

    cdrierson - Sorry I don't know your name!   I did get my bleaching kit from the dentist...they were running a half off special at the time.  They can do special levels due to your sensitivity level of your teeth.  They have like increments of bleaching levels.  I "think" mine is 15% and I wear it while I sleep for around 8 hours.  I know the feeling about the dress.  I just got my dress in on Friday and I had ordered up a size from the sample and that sucker was tight!  With less than 3 weeks there's really not a lot that I can do.  I'm still hitting the gym in hopes maybe I can tighten up just a little bit to help.

    We went to Topsail this weekend to look at beach houses for the wedding and hang out.  I wish I was still at the beach!!

    Krystal - Did your guests at least strip the beds?
    C - Keep those girls contained in your dress!!! You don't want to be shaking it on the dance floor and give your guests a show ;)
    Beth - Was Kansas the headliners for the GSO beerfest? We saw signs as we drove through G'boro. Just wondering if the guys can still rock.

    We accomplished a lot this weekend. Picked up FI suit from Men's Wearhouse. Everything was fine after the alterations suit switch with one of his groomsmen. It looked good. Now we just need to decide on the shirt color for the guys. We already have their ties.

    Also picked up our bands from Diamond's Direct. I was an idiot and didn't wear my e-ring. I guess I will make a trip to DD on the Thursday before my wedding. I'll get my rings cleaned. They also said they would clean my grandma's e-ring (I've had it since I was 22). So my question...what do I do with my e-ring during the ceremony? Wear it on my left hand? Wear it on my right hand? I have no clue.

    My bridesmaids came over last night and we worked on the centerpieces. I'll post a picture tomorrow or Wednesday. Also discovered my one bridesmaid has a gift for making tissue paper pom poms. She rocked out about 12 or so. I was on ribbon duty. I worked on the programs and postcards for the wishing tree.

    Oh, and Friday was our last counseling session with our pastor. The topics were sex and money. So uncomfortable!!! At one point he  (the pastor) said...."light spanking." Long story, but still so uncomfortable.

    No, I think they are going to be at a new beer fest that is startng this year at Tanglewood -- the 28th maybe?  We thought about going to that one instead, but I would rather do a beerfest in air conditioning than outdoors in summer!  Plus we've been to the GSO one 4 out of the past 5 years, so its sort of a tradition!

    I worked all weekend...  So I have today and Tuesday off!  It's one of those love/hate things of working in an in-vitro fertilization labs (I work with a couples babies-to-be until they go back to mom!) -- a few of us have to be there every day!

    But today there is a job posting in Charlottesville, VA so Kyle & I have to decide if I should apply for it.  We are trying to find something closer to home and for the two years I have been in Austin, there has been one opening in NC, which was at a clinic I did not want to work at.  *sigh* decisions, decisions!

    It sounds like you girls all had eventful weekends!
