Jupiter Civic Center

We were looking to have our wedding at the Jupiter Civic Center. Has anyone out there had there wedding there? If so any photos I can take a look at?? The place is bare bones, Just interested in what kind of potential the place has. Also any Ideas on how to locate a Town of Jupiter business to sponsor our wedding (you have to have a occupational licence to rent the facility)

Do you mean the place by the beach? The place definitely has potential.  Also, are you sure you have to have someone sponsor your wedding? I know someone who got married there, I can check with her if you like, let me know!

awesome!! thanks! The pics look great! The city website says only local business can rent the civic center. So you have to get a sponsor. If you can find out a business that will do sponsorship that would be great!!

If you have any vendors that are located in the town of Jupiter, I'm sure that they could sponsor you. I had my sweet 16 party there 5 years ago, and unless they've changed anything, it was very hot inside the building. Granted, my birthday is July 4th so it's usually hot and humid then, so I'm sure it's better later in the day or at a different time of year. It's a gorgeous location right on the beach and water, and a very good deal considering how much other venues charge that have an obstructed ocean/beach/Intracoastal view. If you open up the windows you get a nice breeze, and obviously the view is amazing when they're open. It definitely has lots of potential, but it needs a substantial amount of work to get it to a level nice enough for a wedding.

Hi! Yes as Emily said I got married there and it was fantAstic! You do have to be sponsored by a business within the town of Jupiter. When you rent the facility you have to supply a copy of the town of Jupiter o cupqtionql license. I have heard of a bride who posted a request on craigslist. Perhaps you can find a cake place, florist, or caterer in the town who can sponsor you in exchange for the business. A coworker of mine actuLly sponsored us. As for the weAther we were marries in Jan and the weather was awesome. We opened up the windows and had an amazing breeze in combination with the fans. We string white lights and Chinese paper lNters to help dress up the place... Had I thought more about it I would have ented the day before as well in order to really spend some time decoratig. I have lots of pics on my facebook if you want to ad me. Just search for snafulaurel@ aol.com .. You are also more than welcome to email me for more info or ideas

I really wanted to rent the place but it was booked on my day! So yay for you! :) I've been 2 two weddings there and it's very nice, and if you take the time, you can make it very nice! Just remember they only have fans... no AC!
