Hi! I reviewed my DJ in my bio. He is not one of the popular knottie DJ's, but he was very good! name - In the Mixx Productions Questions - what kind of speakers do you bring? Does the DJ speak xyz language? (if you want them to speak a language other then english) Will they do on the spot overtime? (in case the party goes a little over. My DJ did for $50 an hour. Do you mix the songs or just play 1 after another? Can I hear an example of their work? (my DJ sent me a file online to listen to)A good DJ knows when to stop talking. I was very clear I wanted someone who would not talk at all unless needed to for entrances, etc. GL!!!

PP included some great questions/considerations. I am using Shannon with Liquid DJs. His contact info is 786-597-3705.For me, his pricing was right (we're getting uplighting, too) and he has a cool dj booth I am using that fits well with the vibe of my reception. I was also impressed with his professionalism and I feel secure in the fact that he won't be cheesy. Plus, he's had great reviews from knotties. I would just try and communicate what type of music you like and the kind of event you're having. GL!

-DJ name and contact info - Vision DJ's - Info in Bio-Questions to ask DJs - Type of Equipment they use, what their style is... (We wanted a Low key DJ) For me it was more about seeing their personality and whether or not it would work for us... so for us, we really liked the 3rd guy we met (Jorge A from Vision DJ's) and his price was good so we were sold! -Advice on what makes a good DJ - That's personal to each person. For me, it was someone who wasn't trying to put on a show but knows he is there to keep people on the dancefloor.

-DJ name and contact info Kenny Mondo www.kennymondo.com -Questions to ask DJs Hmm, didn't have many questions to ask because we hired them based on seeing him at a friend's wedding. -Advice on what makes a good DJ - Someone that plays a mix of old and new music. We didn't want the 80s or 90s DJ but we also didn't want it to feel like we were at a club. - Someone that is able to incorporate different cultures of music and still keep the dance floor packed. For example sometimes if you play too much of a certain music, the dance floor clears! - Someone that talks, but doesn't talk too much. We have been to some weddings where the DJ didn't talk at all, we want him to have a role in the wedding reception. - Knows how to keep the dance floor packed, even if that means straying from your list. -Anything else you may want to add If possible, hire a DJ that you have actually seen "perform". We were lucky to attend 5 weddings last year and decided to only choose from the 5 we saw.

I'm using Billman DJs http://www.djbillman.com They are really friendly and not pushy. My sister used them and I was impressed with how modern they were and they didn't force anyone to dance.
