MGs were you really hot in your dress?

Was at a wedding on Friday and the bride said she was ridiculously hot under her dress, to the point were I think that she wasn't really comfortable for most of the night. It wasn't that poufy either. Typical A-line with crinoline. Just wondering if anyone else was unusually hot in their dress.

The layer of sweat between my skin and my dress was just gross by the end of the night.  I just tried to ignore it, and as soon as I got home that night, i couldn't peel it off me fast enough!  So, yup, I was very hot, and it wasn't a hot day.

it was probably 30 degrees the day of my wedding so i didn't feel hot but i definitely did not feel the cold either, except my arms a little.  my friend who got married in may said she was rediculously hot in her dress and it was maybe 75 degrees out.

I think I would have felt hot no matter what I was wearing! I actually was fine for the day of photos and ceremony but after the 10 minute hora I was sweating and it didn't go away until the end of the night!

I was hot dancing. I was fukcing melting, and I DIDN'T have a crinny. I actaully sought out a dress that wouldn't need one for that reason. That and they are itchy. I wasn't wearing a bra either. Just undies that were like biker shorts. And I was hot. So if you are a person who likes to dance, yeah. Prepare for hotness. OH, and of course, if you drink, forget it. I'm actually glad I didn't drink too much. I would have over heated.

When I first put it on yes I was hot (I think it was nerves - hello wedding dress LOL).  During the rest of the time I was probably a bit warmer than normal but not hot hot and it was about 70 with lots of crinoline.I forgot to pick it up but wanted to buy one of those mini personal fans, the battery operated kind, so I could cool myself off if need be.

its weird bc im a sweater normally...like a lot.  I didnt really get hot at all and it was pretty warm outside once inside i was not hot at all. I guess my body did the opposite for that day. I didnt even think about it until now..lol.

Good question Seabass! I'm getting married in April and I'm worried about being too hot also. I have a mermaid style strapless....

I remember being hot when I first put on the dress... Like pp, caketime said... I think it was nerves too. After that I was fine. I didn't have the crinoline either... just undies and my upper support was sewed in the dress. I do remember when we were outside talking pics (March wedding) all my girls were complaining that they were cold (it was 55 degrees out) but I was fine... hahaha

Actually, no.  And it was in the 80s on our wedding day, and we were outside a lot.  My dress didn't have all that much to it though?

my wedding had to be one of the hottest days!!!! for that reason i wore a hoop skirt under my dress since it was heavy to begin with and i was hot but i wasnt sweating and dying the hoop actually aired it out since nothing was touching my legs i was happy with my choice! my dress weighed a ton!!!

Was pretty hot but it was strapless, so really - a good deodorant and some baby powder on my thighs to stop the "chubb rub" and it was fine.  The rest of me was so squeezed by spanx and whatever else that it didn't matter.

It was close to 80 degrees on my wedding day and I was fine for the most part.  Once I started dancing at the reception I was sweating like crazy (I guess not sitting down at all does that to you)! I must have ruined 90% of my pics because of my drenched hair :-(

I was not hot when I first put on the dress because it was March and we were taking pictures outside for most of the afternoon.  For the reception I got hot, but it was not all that bad at all.  I was dancing the night away also.  I have to say I was a sweaty mess, but not too hot.  I actually did not want to take my dress off.  It was really comfy.

I was fine all day it was like 70 degrees untill I got to the dance floor. I was so sweaty that I actually though I was going to pass out.

hot isn't the word for it.  i was sweltering.  it was of course insanely humid on friday so that was definitely to blame.  i am so glad i got a pair of spanx to (as veena called it) stop the chubb rub on the thighs - that made me so much more comfortable.   i didn't let the heat stop me from having a good time though but as soon as i started dancing i was sweating the rest of the night.

i got married in october. the week before the wedding was warm and sort of cloudy. but on the day of the wedding, it was sunny and clear and COOL! it was about 55 in the sun, so i wasn't hot at all. i also wasn't cold either.  i am never comfortable--i'm always hot or cold, which is why we picked october. i'd rather be a little cold than sweating to death.

I was boiling hot, I couldnt cool off all night,  especially in the boob area. It was 98 degrees in April.

I was DYING.  It was 92 degrees and I had an outdoor ceremony.  The crinoline was sticking to my legs. I could feel the sweat run down my boobs. In short, i was miserable!
It takes Shakespeare, a genius, to come up with "He dies." And yet every time I read those two words, I find myself overwhelmed with dysphoria. And I know it's only natural to be sad, but not because of the words "He dies." but because of the life we saw prior to the words

It was 83 and the ceremony was outside.  I was so in the moment that the heat didn't bother me, but my dad had a hard time.  When taking pics, I was really warm so Mike helped me lift my dress to get some air.I had told the venue to pump up the air as much as they could.  It was warm dancing, but only the back of my hair suffered.  When I got back to the hotel, I realized just how hot I was since we had to peel the corset off.Lisa Beth

It was very humid on my wedding day, and the limo didn't have AC, but I was fine in my dress. I was hot because it was hot out, but the dress didn't really add to it. I also had an A line with crin.
